@LibDems @LibVoice4Women I’m in the process of writing the letter. It will be carefully phrased to make it clear that people can identify however they want as far as I’m concerned, but sex means something in law, and changing that is dangerous for women. It’s not going to be an email.

This needed saying. Thank you. I will never trust a single politician who has pushed this nonsense on us at the expense of women, homosexuals and our children. The impact on my family life has been devastating. During their teenage years, when I should have been enjoying their independence and challenges to my parental authority, I have had to desperately try to protect them from being mutilated in the name of this perverse, anti-reality ideology.

Well done, Zoe. You should not have to be courageous to say the obvious. You have had to be. A mainstream party has now voted that men who identify as women should share women’s spaces, and that the law protecting those spaces is “discriminatory.” That is not inclusion. It is a party deciding that sex is optional and women’s boundaries are negotiable.

@LibDems One thing I would say about our party, Zoe. This speech could be heard on the conference floor because the party conference allows ordinary members to speak on the platform. The Tories don't have a member-led conference at all, and Labour's conference is highly controlled.

@LibDems Yes. It is always the Chair's choice for who to call for the debate (outside proposer and summation). Whilst you give the chair a rough outline of what you're going to say you do not have to share your speech before being allowed to speak. Any member can put in a speakers card
