During the Fox interview on Friday, we learned that Zelensky doesn’t know the meaning of the words “regret” and “salvage.” If his English is this limited, he needs to use a translator for high level discussions. You don’t get into an argument with Vance in front of the cameras.

This just adds to the case that Zelensky behaved incompetently and should resign. He needs to know his limitations here. If he’s not going to use a translator then he needed to be even more careful not to get into a public spat.

Or you could rely on the human decency and good manners of your conversation partners to adapt themselves to your understandable limitations for what was supposed to be a 2-minute press spray, not a 45-minute debate. Oh wait, human decency and good manners -- what was I thinking?

He got the emotional content of that meeting exactly right. It was an ambush by a Russian sympathizer (asset?) president and his sidekick. The content of hte conversation was incidental.
