I have been seeing this video for days and tried to not comment on it but my guy here has a following and was on Richie’s podcast as well. First of all, none of what he said is true and it is verifiable By the context he presented it, it is fair to say the NLM was not necessarily ‘Asantes’ even though the party was set up by Baffour Osei Akoto who was the Asantehene’s Okyeame and some Asante chiefs and prominent men. The NLM (or Asantes) were asking for federal system because they felt a central government could mess up the riches/resources in their territory. You have to remember they were the leading producers of cocoa in the Gold Coast at the time…together with the Eastern territory. They also feared a central government could become authoritarian and take ‘rogue’ decisions (which eventually happened). The northern (region) supported this also for their own reasons and there prominent people from other tribes that supported it too… It had nothing to do with regions. How would not getting a region (that was essentially existent by then) be a problem for independence anyway?…Makes no sense, no correlation whatsoever

Mbadi argues that money was borrowed to build roads, and only a certain region benefited from it at the expense of the nation at large. He says some people take minutes to get to their villages while others take days. Mbadi insists that the said region MUST also allow other regions to benefit from their taxes. I know very well that the timing of these sentiments is meant to paint the mountain region in bad light and to further the isolation agenda, but where is the lie? For Kenya to move forward, such sensitive questions must be asked. Otherwise, we are wasting time.

Now Chabahar Port will definitely play an important role, but there is ambiguity towards that. India was working on developing the Chabahar Port. Given the recent political issues, there has been a slowdown on the development of Chabahar Port. So whether that will be reactivated by India, that needs to be seen. 85% of the exports from that region is catered to the Global South. So it’s not only India that will benefit, the entire Global South will benefit out of this. Iran has been under embargo and sanctions for decades now. India has taken the initiative to develop that port, and they have achieved considerable success in that, and they wanted to move forward on that. However, in the recent past we have seen that there had been a slowdown. We feel that India should relook into activating that port, and to bring sanity, as that could be part of one of the peace talks. As far as BRICS is concerned, BRICS has become a very strong body. The next BRICS meeting is in a couple of months, so they may play a very important role to bring sanity in this region. The Global South should stand up to this and find sanity. There has been talk that the Prime Minister of India is perhaps the only person who can bring peace to this region. The Israelis have said they don’t want to accept Pakistanis as a mediator. So the world may have to go back to India, to Prime Minister Modi. Whether he’ll accept or not accept, that remains to be seen. It depicts one ethnic region is unwilling to be governed by another, and where the prospect of TPLF leadership is seen as a trigger for the country's disintegration. In this video he clearly states that, as TPLF forces advanced toward Addis Ababa, his overriding concern was not to fight for his country, but breaking the Somali Region away from Ethiopia. Today, for the first time, a prayer was held at the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra that brought together priests from different regions of Ukraine – those whose churches have been damaged and destroyed by Russian strikes. Ukraine’s wounded churches: in the Kharkiv region, the Sumy region, Dnipro, Chernihiv, and Irpin. Together with them, priests from Berdiansk, the Odesa region, and the Ternopil region, who went through the hell of Russian captivity, prayed for Ukraine. Father Vasyl Fedorenko, who combined service to God and military service – defending Mariupol and baptizing fighters at Azovstal. Chaplain Mykola Luchynskyi, who opened an exhibition about this war in a church in Khmelnytskyi, bringing its exhibits himself after his regular trips to the front. A parish minister in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ivan Teremko, who once underwent an amputation and today visits our severely wounded fighters and strengthens their spirit. Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Sunday attended the condolence ceremony for Walat Tahir, a security officer at Erbil International Airport, who was martyred as a result of the attacks on Kurdistan Region’s capital. The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences and sympathy to the martyr’s parents and relatives. The Prime Minister later visited a hospital to see those wounded in the attacks on Erbil and wished them a swift recovery. In a statement to the media, Prime Minister Barzani again extended his condolences to the family of Walat Tahir, noting that this is not the first martyr of Kurdistan and will not be the last. The Prime Minister condemned the attacks on the Kurdistan Region and reaffirmed that these assaults have no justification and stem only from deep hatred toward Kurdistan and its people. He emphasized that the perpetrators should know that the hostile stance they have taken will not be forgotten by the people of Kurdistan. The Prime Minister called on the federal government and parliament to take a clear position and set limits on these criminals, noting that, unfortunately, the groups carrying out such attacks are funded by the Baghdad government and are provided with salaries and weapons. He said that under no circumstances can the continuation of these attacks be accepted, nor can the blood of our martyrs be wasted. He stressed that the Kurdistan Region is making every effort to keep Kurdistan away from war and turmoil, but as President Masoud Barzani has said, everything has a limit. He expressed hope that the federal government will draw a clear line for the perpetrators and stop supporting them.
