During #WGN’s LIVE segment from St. Laurence on Friday, Ana Belaval noted about the incredible building enhancements made and the future ones coming - including a state-of-the-art field house - for the rising Chicago Catholic League power. As I noted recently, I don’t know if there is another school...

Let me ask you an honest question: Who’s your daddy? If you’re a high school student athlete in Illinois, the answer is easy when it comes to one’s “Right to Play.” It’s not your Mom or Dad. It’s a private third-party vendor called the Illinois High School Association (IHSA). If you play a high school sport, the IHSA controls you even when your school day is over and even more when school isn’t even in session. It’s long been an overreach of control from a small group of narrow-minded ego-driven adults literally dictating what student athletes and families can do in their free time. But much-needed and welcome change is getting closer for all student athletes and their families, as more and more student athletes and parents come forward from present and past to speak up and talk about the disadvantages the IHSA - and those who benefit from it - have and are causing. The first victory earlier this week was by slaughter rule, a 12-0 thumping over the IHSA in committee vote. Now it moves to the big leagues. You can read more here: I encourage you to engage and educate yourself in a topic that 75 percent of high school student athletes across the U.S. can do, but it’s something high school student athletes in Illinois can’t do. Over the next 30 days, you are going to see more stories and hear directly from student athletes, families, leading athletic trainers and doctors, school leaders from Illinois and other states on local and national media outlets talking about this overreach and how the IHSA continues to put student athletes at a disadvantage. So I ask you again: Since when does a private third-party vendor get to control what student athletes and their families do, especially during their free time? Think about that. As you’ll see once again, it’s another classic case of cherry-picking to benefit one’s self by an organization that has now lost three consecutive court cases due to its unlawful dictating overreach. As always, I’ll layout both sides and show you how this has and continues to work easily and well for high school student athletes and schools across the U.S. - except in Illinois. They’ll say “health & safety.” They’ll say “scheduling & other logistics.” I’ll show you how those stocked talking points aren’t even tired, “they’re outdated” as one athletic trainer and other athletic director said to me today. Change for adults who control is always hard. It’s time to do what is right and long overdue for high school student athletes and families in Illinois. You’ll see why loud and clear beginning this week. **This is the first in a daily series.**

Look around the U.S. at how high school soccer is structured in states to help and protect kids. In Florida, high school games are only played during the week so student athletes can still compete in exposure club tournaments on the weekend if they choose to. In Texas, schools are limited to 2 games per week: One game Monday-Thursday and one Friday or Saturday. No back-to-backs are allowed. In Nebraska, the final week of the postseason schedule is: Monday → Friday → Monday. That’s what prioritizing student athlete health and safety actually looks like. Then there’s Illinois and the Illinois High School Association (IHSA). Until it was forced by a student athlete-led Illinois House Bill in spring of 2025, the IHSA owned and blocked student athletes from any outside event during the season. The IHSA has no health and safety limitation on the number of games that may be played in a week. The IHSA had schools playing FOUR of its final tournament games in FIVE days — including the possibility of 3 final games in 24 hours. Don’t believe me: Tuesday → Friday → Saturday (two). Now, it’s only one game on Saturday: Tuesday → Friday → Saturday…a mere 3 games in 120 hours. So let’s recap: Florida protects weekends to help kids have options. Texas limits games and bans back-to-backs to protect vs overscheduling. Nebraska spaces out same-site postseason matches over 8 days at the end of the season. As I pointed out on Cubs Opening Day on FOX in March 2025, when it comes to helping high school soccer players and “health and safety” with the IHSA…don’t let the truth get in the way of the facts. #MoreThanJUSTGames #IHSA

Dear Catholics, this is not the time for Hallelujah Challenge. This is lenten season. There is an app called Hallow by Alex at Hallow. This app made me fall in love with the Catholic Church. It was this app that opened my eyes to all the beauties I didn't know that the Catholic Church has. This app has converted many people to the Catholic Christian faith. It has brought many Catholics who were confused about the Catholic faith back to the Church. If you are looking for where to grow richly in knowledge of the Catholic Church, this app is for you. It contains all the novenas and litanies you can think of. Mark Wahlberg, the popular Hollywood actor, taught me how to recite the rosary perfectly on this app. This app contains "Bible in a Year" and catechism podcast that was recorded by fathermikeschmitz during the covid lockdown. Fr. Mike read and explained the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation and explained it in such a way that it fits in our world today. Many Genzs all over the world have returned back to the Catholic Church because of this Hallow App. It also contains many gregorian chants and radio drama of many Saints that you can listen to. Saints like St. Valentine, St. Josephine Bahkita, St. Lucy, St. Patrick, St. Pope John Paul the Great, St. Padre Pio, and too many to count. There is also the children section if you are looking at wanting your kids to grow in the Catholic faith. This app has these and many more. Hallow is currently on a #pray40 Lent challenge, and today is Day 2. (Peep my current streak lol. Is there any Nigerian living in Nigeria who has this streak???) So please, head to your playstore or applestore as the case may be and download the Hallow app. I promise you, you'd be greatly blessed by this. So, in this Lenten season, we are returning back to the Faith. We are returning back to Jesus.

Christopher Hitchens on Israel and Zionism: "I think Zionism is a stupid idea to begin with, it's a bad idea, a Messianic idea, a superstitious idea. And it guaranteed a quarrel with the Arabs because it meant we're going to take away from you what is most precious, your land. It guaranteed an injustice to the Arabs which now anyone can see and is now entering its fourth generation of Palestinians brought up either in exile or dispossession or under occupation and humiliation, and now we know something has to be done to address what is part of the original sin." "I've been writing in favor of a Palestinian homeland all my life, and I'm now no less or more in favor of it than I was before. It's a matter of principle." "If Jews born in Brooklyn have a right to a state in Palestine, then Palestinians born in Jerusalem have a right to a state in Palestine. Anyone who doesn't agree with that principle is suspect." "Everybody knows that if you want to occupy people against their will, if you want to be the governor of another people who haven't chosen you, you will end up visiting terrible cruelty on them. There certainly cannot be a humane occupation." "I think the securely recognized borders should not allow for Israeli colonization or occupation of the territory of its neighbors, which is what it's doing now. The right to exist argument has been used now to the point where what it's going to mean is that the Israel you're talking about will include the annexed and illegally occupied West Bank." "When George Bush senior said to the Israelis: If you go on like this I will ask Congress to suspend your loan guarantees, I thought that was extremely impressive, and so did everyone else in the Middle East. It led to the nearest we've ever had to a proper peace conference that was in Madrid. Bill Clinton chose to run that year from the right against Bush, saying that he thought Bush was being soft on Cuba, and also from the right on Israel, saying if he was President the Israelis would not be subjected to this kind of pressure. So the last time that there was an impressive American policy it was a Republican administration, and it was undone by the hero of every liberal in this room."

In the last couple of weeks since “Israel on Trial: Examining the History, the Evidence, and the Law” has come out, I've gotten dozens and dozens of calls and emails and texts from people in my life. And what they’re telling me is that they have heard from people in their own lives—people at work, people at their kids' school, people in their families—who said they were on the fence about Israel, or they said bad things about Israel because of things they learned on TikTok or on the internet, and they didn't know any of the things that were in the book, and they're never going to do that again. And that's consistent with what I've seen around the country over the last three years. Every single time I go to a church of any denomination or a school or a college or a law school—maybe not right then and there, but in the days or weeks that follow, people will call and say, "You know what? I didn't know the things you talked about in your speech, and I'll never say there was genocide in Gaza again. I'll never call Israel an apartheid state again." The vast majority of Americans, they're people of good faith and open hearts. They don't necessarily care so much what's going on 3,000 miles away in a little country in the Mediterranean, but they do care about the law. If they are presented the facts and the evidence in a way that's based on reason and common sense—not emotion and vitriol and all the rest—they will be convinced.

Alot of people ask me to come and speak at their school board meetings, while I can attend some of them, many are just to far on the weekdays So here's my speech for you to read or play my video for your board on guidance 5756, hope it helps you ----------------------------------- Thank you for giving me a chance to speak today, Just want to touch of the subject of guidance 5756 Our children are be relentlessly bombarded by gender indoctrination on a level never seen before. From the new sex ed curriculum pushed by the state to your library books If you didnt know it parents, Over the summer our state New Jersey Boe recently passed policy to remove the words male and female from schools Here are some misconceptions about 5756, it is not policy but always was guidance, you will not lose state funding if you abolish it, trans kids are still protected under LAD even if you abolish Many think 5756 is LGBTQ outline guidance, it is narrowly targeted towards trans students The guidance essentially boils down to the response a school should undertake if a student thinks they are trans: they would like to be addressed by a name other than their legal one/identify with a pronoun/gender not corresponding to their biological sex The guidance also advises: the school district may seek a variety of professionals, including counselors/school psychologists Will these counselors tell kids after sex reassignment surgery they are 5x more likely to have made a suicide attempt & 19x more likely to have died from suicide It would be a mistake in the 1st place for any board to take on this policy based purely on if something happened to the child or got forbid died, you the board would be sued. Are you truly willing to take that risk? Garden State Equality pushes for programs in schools and GSA groups (Gender Sexuality Alliances) to push the agenda further Hackensack is having pride events all year with gsa activities and woodstown is hosting a series of events as well Our kids are very impressionable and what to please us, mental health issues are being accelerated pushing this as well, kids are utterly confused, especially my own and Countless others I talk to around the state I would like to stress the engagement aspect of sexual influence on any child under the age of 18 the definition of influence over a child stated in Title 9, specifically 6-1 The performing on any indecent, immoral or unlawful act or deed, in the presence of a child that may debauch, or endanger or degrade the morals of the child Think about this child abuse law as the government and our Schools push this gender agenda We need to be teaching these kids, not indoctrinating our students with endless gender ideology What I'm asking is simple, bring up a vote to remove this guidance. If you truly care about the children, you'll stop keeping parents in the dark about what's happening to their kids Parents, it you want this guidance removed, I encourage you to email and speak out to your board. They don't know you have concerns unless you voice them Lastly Always remember this fact, You are not our kids parents, we are, it's best never forget that as you try to hide information from the parents with this guidance Thank you ------------------------------------ Speech and video is just under 3 minutes, so it'll work at any BOE Rally your fellow #NewJersey parents, and keep pushing back on issues that affect you

Pastor Erik Reed boldly putting an end to the "both sides" arguments we've seen from many Christians over the last few weeks and calling out the Democrats for being at war with "creational reality." "We are living in a world where there are two different visions for what kind of society we want to live in. And if Christ is not in the foundations of what we're doing with our vision for the future, if the Christian foundation and worldview that made our country great to begin with is not there, and everybody's just doing what's right in their own eyes, you can guarantee chaos will ensue. We are choosing between two distinct futures. They are not the same. Our two political parties in our country are not morally equivalent to each other... I am not baptizing the Republican Party. They did not come from Mount Sinai on high from God to say 'Thus saith the Lord.' But the current state of the Democratic Party, as they are...they are a party at war with creational realities every day. Creational realities. They are at war about what it means to be a man or a woman, about marriage, about sexuality, about who has the right to live in a womb. They are at war with life and prosperity. There is one side in particular with a progressive ideology that not only tried to suppress the story of the young woman in Charlotte, but who celebrated, both in the media and with college professors and many others, the death of a man whose beliefs they did not hold... And if you're more concerned with what I've just said in the last two or three minutes, about sounding partisan, than you are concerned about the reality of what's actually happening in our society right now, you have lost the plot."
