Edmonton Public Schools is thinking about dropping its second language requirement. One reason is there are now so many students not even fluent in English. Since 2011, Edmonton schools have seen a 105.3% rise in ESL students as a result of mass immigration.

In many cases, one or two students must do all the work for the entire group or risk receiving a fail result. The universities’ addiction to revenue from foreign students is putting the education of Australians at risk, and Labor has a plan to make it worse. It should be a simple requirement - if you arrive here to study, you must have a fluent level of English.
