I have listened to Rigathi Gachagua from Ol Kalou and I made three observations. 🔹At times he can mean to be very mature. He respects President Ruto 🔹Gachagua can work with President Ruto, his only problem is Kimani Ichung'wah. He hates Ichung'wah and blames him for impeachment. This is eternal hate 🔹He is a TRIBALIST. He can't change. He hates Luos and believes in Kikuyu HEGEMONY.

Edwin Sifuna: Former DP Gachagua is impeached; he cannot run. I do not understand why people talk about him as a viable candidate. The value proposition for Gachagua for me, from an ODM perspective, is that he is taking away votes that helped beat us in 2022. For as long as he is taking away votes from Ruto, I don’t care where he takes them; he is not giving William Ruto. If Raila Odinga were to get the exact same number of votes that he got in 2022 in 2027 and William Ruto loses Mt Kenya, Raila will be President. Rigathi Gachagua: I negotiated for 8 positions in a cabinet of 22. I negotiated with the President because of the vote I was bringing in; it was up to him to make the decision. He is the appointing authority. When Raila came, he negotiated for 4 positions for him to support William Ruto. When Ruto sought the support of Raila, he came and demanded cabinet positions and 11 PSs and he was given. Even us to give Ruto support, we demanded certain things. President William Ruto on Monday detailed his fallout with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, attributing their strained relationship to persistent conflicts and a lack of support for government projects. Speaking during a media engagement at Sagana State Lodge as he began his five-day tour of Mt. Kenya region, Ruto stated that Gachagua frequently picked fights with government officials and Members of Parliament, forcing him to intervene multiple times. He accused him of intimidating MPs and refusing to rally behind state programmes. He criticized Gachagua for failing to publicly defend development projects, saying that when he was Deputy President, he actively promoted government initiatives on television and in public forums. Ruto alleged that Gachagua once demanded Ksh.10 billion for political activities in Mount Kenya and threatened to make him a one-term president. He denied involvement in Gachagua’s impeachment, saying he twice stopped the process but was overruled by MPs, especially from Mt Kenya who were determined to remove him from office. Ruto said the impeachment motion was not his initiative but was pushed by leaders from the region who felt that Gachagua was undermining their political agenda and failing to support government initiatives. He maintained that while he had initially defended Gachagua against impeachment attempts, the mounting pressure from MPs made it impossible to continue shielding him. The President added that even after the fallout, he never personally endorsed the ouster but allowed due process to take its course.
