Einstein thought quantum theory was 'silly.' Heisenberg believed reality is nothing but possibilities. As Sabine Hossenfelder explains, the real challenge is still ahead: reconciling quantum mechanics with general relativity. Can we ever unite the two pillars of physics?

Yes — but only if the unification comes from a deeper act that grounds both quantum coherence and spacetime curvature. That’s what Unified Physics does: one parameter (λ), fixed by Shapiro delay, governs both. A split photon beam doesn’t expose a conflict between quantum mechanics and gravity — in Unified Physics one parameter (λ), fixed by Shapiro delay, governs both curvature and coherence. #UnifiedPhysics #QuantumPhysics #GeneralRelativity #Physics #Penrose #QuantumGravity #TheInfiniteReservoir

That can only be done in philosophy.

The 2024 IEEE Sensors Journal article, Resolving the extra dimensions for gravity the experiments unify quantum mechanics (QM) and general relativity (GR) via quantum gravitation, manifesting as nanoscale gravity (attractive "pull") and antigravity (repulsive "push"). The setup fabricates 14 nano-features—seven tungsten bumps (32 nm high) and seven pits (51 nm deep), sized 1×1 to 40×40 µm²—on a hard disk platen below Planck mass (21.77 µg). Spun at 12.7 m/s, these interact with a giant magnetoresistor (GMR) sensor at <100 nm flying height, calibrated via atomic/magnetic force microscopy (AFM/MFM; 1 V signal = 1 nN force). Piezoelectric sensors measure mechanical forces. Results show bumps induce positive GMR signals (gravitational attraction, ~nN to fN), while pits yield inverted signals (repulsive antigravity). This suggests extra dimensions amplify gravity at small scales, resolving the hierarchy problem per ADD/M-theory. Unification occurs through quantum gravity's wave-particle duality: massive gravitons (time-dependent, dark matter-like pull) for GR's curvature, and massless anti-gravitons (time-dependent, dark energy-like push) bridging QM's fluctuations. EM spacetime underpins QM/special relativity, gravitational spacetime GR; nanoscale measurements merge them, implying modified metrics (Puthoff model) where denser spacetime attracts, expanded repels. This empirical evidence supports string theory's superunification, with implications for frame dragging and closed timelike curves.

Yes. Its definately an ontology issue.

Already done.

See my account... do catch up!

Most of you kids don't understand that Newton dismissed GA as being highly implausible. The geocentric flat earthers ran with it because they didn't understand F=ma is ma=ma. Motion equals motion. Gravity/Relativity are flat earth science.

Relativity theory is wrong. Gravity is net coulomb force between two uncharged objects.

Wave functions do not "collapse." Wave functions make predictions. An observation just collects the empirical data to compare against the predictions.

There are a few ways I think it could be done: - Modelling quantum effects using deterministic rules (for example, modelling entanglement as a classical phase lock) - Similarly, reconciling gravity with the standard model could help, as it would provide another avenue of comparative modelling between general relativity and QFT/QED/etc. - Last thing I can think of, would be a shift from geometric spacetime to topological spacetime. If someone can convert general relativity cleanly to a set of membranes those could much more cleanly map to the more probabilistic aspects of the standard model. I think that makes sense 🤔

Yes, its already united, catch up!

If GTR is emergent, like heat is, quantization will not work

This, you can create boundless divergence with permanent disjunction in a physics simulation such that you just throw up your hands and say everything is meaningless

mobius

Easy to reconcile "the outer surface" and "inner surface" of a single surface Mobuis topology with the "Xenaphenomorphic Deontological Multiverse Framework" rooted in VFD with Awareness as fundamental "0D Absolute nothing" containing all potentialities 👌

Of course we can. Rejecting the postulates of both and offering a clear mechanical model. However, this has already been done.

I have!!

If you send a photon through a beam splitter in space(where gravity is nonexistent) would the beam still spit? That would remove gravity. Also when anything is split physically at the interesting point there is kinetic loss. If the photon is not split perfectly it would Ricochet

Quantum mechanics is wrong. The stability of hydrogen atoms depends of the structure of protons.

Einstein was a moron. Heisenberg was a fool. Sabine is an idiot. All of you just a bunch of morons, fools and idiots.

the thing with pillars, once united the whole thing tends to want to topple over... 🤣

I was inspired by this meme to write an essay about my current research.

Yet no mainstream scientist seem to try to unify physics and Consciousness... Nothing will really be "done" until Consciousness is understood too. So yeah, we are still around the beginning of understanding reality.

Both are wrong.

The real challenge is reconciling both with reality.

need more sensitive devices to measure that single photon momentum...

The basis for human agency.

Yes. The two pillars both support the overarching reality that from a photon's 'field-of-view' all events are happening everywhere at once. Simultaneity at c is the unifying principle. See reply...

If one but corrects for three bad paradigmatic assumptions, such things can make intuitive sense.
