What the photon actually traces is the path of least temporal resistance through the continuum. It is guided by the local gradient of temporal density. Makes me think about one of my favorite verses "God is light". It's interesting to think that light may exist outside of time. That's one of the core characteristics of God.

When you look at stars in the sky, the photons we see left them billions of years ago, yet two electrons interacted and photon was released and jumped billions of light years distance and time. When you consider the theroies about the big bang, they discuss how time and space were created/defined in the first moments If true, then the big bang not only just happened (photon POV), and was billions of years ago (our POV) but can be ongoing the whole time, for all "time"
