The Islamic scholars today warned that the misuse of religion and wrong "interpretation of Islam" to undermine #Somaliland peace and democracy. "It will not succeed," they said. The Muslim clerics also stated that the Houthis are #Iranian proxies and affirmed that the people of "Somaliland would defend themselves" if the Houthis were to attack Somaliland. They welcomed Israel's recognition of Somaliland as s positive and rightly decision. The statement amounts to a strong endorsement of Somaliland–Israel recognition.

Today, I was in Washington, D.C., to present President Donald J. Trump with the Religious Liberty Commission's report and our recommendations. Over the past year, our Commission held seven hearings and heard testimony from over 100 witnesses from education, the military, healthcare, the private sector, and government. They shared firsthand accounts of how their religious liberty had been violated. Many have already won their cases before the Supreme Court, while others are still fighting in the courts. Based on the testimony we heard and the Commission's findings, it became clear time and again that Americans' religious freedoms were being denied based on the fictitious claim that the "separation of church and state" is found in the Constitution. As a result, we presented President Trump with 12 recommendations to strengthen and restore religious liberty in America.

That violates religious clauses in the Constitution.” Greg Abbott gives an update on what’s happening with the Muslim feet-washing stations in Texas airports: "We have announced legal challenges to both DFW Airport and the Houston airport for violating the religious clauses of the Constitution. And there are two different areas of an airport. There's the pre-TSA check-in and then after TSA check-in. If these stations exist before you get to the TSA check-in, that is an area that's governed by the local city. And what I have articulated is any city that provides or continues one of these stations, they're going to have their funding revoked that they get from the State of Texas AND be subject to a lawsuit for religious discrimination by the State of Texas. Once they get past the TSA checkpoint, that's a federal issue. And I have sent a letter to the US Department of Transportation to make sure that they understand the constitutional gravity of this issue, and that they similarly will be taking action in the areas that they are responsible for to make sure these constitutional violations are not taking place."
