No, ECI can’t do that…..They at best can recommend to HMO who subsequently performs the detection task….Certainly not ECI……Otherwise every institution will start performing the duty of detecting foreigners…..There will be total chaos in the country…..

Verifying voter eligibility, including removing non-citizens from the rolls, is part of its duty to uphold the integrity of the electoral process. There is a time for everything,when you know there are elections in 3-4 months time and you wake up to the fact that you have to remove foreigners What you are implying is that 2024 elections were conducted with foreigners in the voters list So cancel that elections too

What is digital voters list and how is it different from non-machine readable voters list? Till 2019 Election commission was releasing Digital voters list from which computers could read the text, copy and search. This makes duplicate, fake vote analysis easy. Now look at what they have done. They made it a PDF generated as an image, which prevents you from copying text or searching inside the PDF. ECI did this to prevent opposition parties from searching across voter rolls and finding duplicates and fake voters. Why hide, if it is the truth Election Commission of India?
