DESTRUCTIVE WIND BAG with 80-100 mph hammers Norman, Oklahoma and disrupts the legendary Jake’s Custom Diesel fire work show Mass power outages caused. Widespread #tornado-like damage but straight-line winds. A massive surge in outflow from the north and a separate complex with outflow collided with this from the east! #stormchasing #Dominator

Live emergency update from eastern Nebraska with a classic summertime severe weather event including Omaha. Big instability with easterly surface winds will lead to explosive supercell development by 4-5 pm west of Omaha. These storms will initially pose an isolated #tornado threat before transitioning into a potent wind bag #stormchasing #Dominator

Live emergency update from the Lake Superior Basin near the Wisconsin/Minnesota Border, expecting an eruption of supercells off the lake breeze with isolated tornadoes and gorilla hail the main threats. The supercells will congeal into wind bag this evening. The entire state of Wisconsin is covered by an enhanced risk from the Storm Prediction Company #stormchasing #Dominator

This is one of the rarest and most dangerous sounds you can hear in a thunderstorm. This phenomenon is caused by an intense electric field building in the air, which can make metal gear, ropes, or even hair begin to buzz or crackle. It’s a serious warning sign that lightning may be about to strike nearby.

Live emergency update on the threat of gorilla hail and isolated #tornado across northern Indiana into western Ohio tomorrow (Thursday) evening! Intense supercells should fire across northern Indiana and drop southeast into a strengthening low-level jet. GIANT hail will be inevitable with these storms, but if they can drop southeast into the warm air they could develop a #tornado threat by evening. Team Dominator will be activating storm chase mode for this event!

The Smith River Complex burning in the Six Rivers National Forest, California, has displayed very intense fire behavior. #cali #NorCal #cafire #cawx #wildfire This area is known for very steep and rugged terrain that will provide fire the perfect template to rip. The Complex is made up of multiple fires started by a lightning event days ago. California IMT Team 15 has assumed command of the fire. Last estimated at 7,300 acres. Thanks to the subscriber that shared this 📷. 🙏🍻

⛈️🙄Has divine help arrived? 🛰️A convective storm cell from the Atlantic is currently moving over the massive wildfire zone in Gironde, France! 🇫🇷 📍The heavy precipitation core is directly over the flames. Will this have a positive impact, or could it create negative consequences? 🧵👇 🟢 THE HOPE: If the heavy rainfall (yellow/pink core) reaches the ground, it will spike humidity and drop temperatures, breaking the fire's momentum. This could be the crucial support firefighters need. 🔴 THE RISKS: However, the storm carries two major risks: 1️⃣ Severe Winds (Downdrafts): Pre-storm wind gusts can fan the flames and shift the fire's direction unpredictably. 2️⃣ Lightning: High lightning activity can trigger new fire hotspots in dry surrounding vegetation. ❓ CURRENT STATUS: Rain bands are making impact, but wind gusts and lightning activity remain critical. The next 1-2 hours will decide the fate of the wildfire. Can anyone in the region share updates on the current rain situation? 🔥🌧️ #Gironde #FranceWildfire #GirondeFire #France #Wildfire #MeteoFrance #Radar #Storm

There’s only one song that’s absolutely perfect for tonight, September 21! September, by Earth, Wind & Fire! 🎶 Was anyone else a big fan of that great band with great vocals? They’ve had so many huge hits over the years but I think this one is my favorite! ❤️

Vaccine expert Dr. Peter Hotez is warning that a major new coronavirus outbreak could be on the horizon, driven by bats coming into closer contact with humans due to climate change. He predicts this could happen within the next few years, calling it the potential fourth major coronavirus—and says it will be a “big issue” the world will have to face. "We know this is going to be a big issue."

This guy is lucky to still be alive. In this crazy video from Mexico, a mountaineer records buzzing from a corona discharge (a form of St. Elmo’s Fire), and it means a lightning strike is imminent. Extreme voltage builds up between cumulonimbus clouds and the peak. The buzzing is the sound of electricity actively leaking into the atmosphere (often accompanied by tingling skin or hair standing on end), and is the final warning sign that lightning is about to strike that exact spot. The buzzing at the end of the video is quite extraordinary. Original video link:

This man was carrying his own fan while traveling on a train. Suddenly, he tried to plug his 220V AC fan into the train's 110V DC electric port. Because of this, his fan didn't work, and he could also have damaged the train's electric port, which is meant for mobile charging. As a result, it could have caused problems for all the other passengers. People like this create unnecessary problems because of their foolish actions, and later the government ends up getting blamed for it. There is truly a serious lack of civic sense among people.

Millions of people are set to face disruption to their Easter travel plans this weekend due to major rail engineering works, strike action and heavy traffic. More than 300 engineering projects will be carried out by Network Rail across Britain between today and Easter Monday. Meanwhile, Gatwick Airport is warning that planned strikes by ground staff could “impact thousands of passengers” during one of their busiest times of year. Nick Dixon has the latest.

It’s time to debunk some LIES about the LA firestorm. Los Angeles experienced a FIRE HURRICANE. We have two seasons in Southern California that most regions don't have. One is the fire season. The other is the winter Santa Ana wind season — when we get extremely high winds. The fire season used to go from July to September. But now, due to changing weather patterns, our fire season lasts until the winter months — which means for the first time in millennia, our fire season ran into our high wind season. With Hurricane-force winds blowing (110+ mph), no helicopters or flying air tankers could take off. Therefore LA could not fight the wildfires by dumping millions of gallons of sea water on them (like we usually do). And amount of water from tiny fire hydrants (or water guns or water balloons, for that matter) could have stopped a fire hurricane. Unless the GOP has UFO technology that can fly helicopters in hurricanes, L.A. would have burned under Republicans, too.

“Work has been suspended at a major wind farm project south west of Warwick after storms snapped a wind turbine blade. McIntrye Wind Farm recently connected some of its turbines to the grid, those works are on hold as it investigates the incident.” “The 458MW Coopers Gap wind farm in south west Queensland, the newest and biggest wind project built to date in Australia – is to undergo major repairs after faults were found in its commissioning process. AGL, which operates the $850 million project and is a joint owner through the Powering Australia Renewables Fund, said in a statement that the blades of one of the 123 turbines will have to be replaced entirely, while GE Catcon is also going to replace “generators” – referring to the equipment in the nacelle at the top of the wind tower – in a further 50 turbines.” •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Not only are wind farms unreliable in terms of wind dependent generation. They break easily as we saw last week on the Darling Downs. If the blades on a wind farm can’t survive a summer storm on the Darling Downs they will be useless. This is just another example of wind farms being unreliable. A few years ago wind farm had to replace 50 out of 123 turbines just after it was commissioned. Australia cannot not afford to be pursuing Net Zero policies being pushed by the two major parties. We should focus on using our coal, uranium and gas resources instead of imported materials.
