Nonsense . It could work if you keep moving the magnet up and down. This is induced current, but you need to keep the magnet moving , which requires energy

For the folks saying "but but but magnets lose magnetism" yes, however it takes around 700 years for samarium-cobalt magnets (regular) to lose HALF of their power. Further more neodymium magnets only lose around 5% of magnetism every CENTURY. So you do the math.

I will share this with my fellow South Africans sitting in the dark because of loadshedding. We have loadshedding for 2 hours, two or 3 times a day, every single day!

Won't work. Only a moving coil and/or magnet produces some electricity. But by far not enough to light such a bulp.
