Electrons faster than light? Yes, sort of. The Cherenkov Effect occurs when a charged particle travels through a medium faster than the speed of light in that medium. Particles can't travel faster than light in a vacuum, but they can exceed it in a specific medium.

Fun fact: when patients receive brain radiotherapy, entry/exit dose can go through the fluid-filled eye, causing the patient to see flashes/streaks of blue light via the Cherenkov Effect. (If you're treating the eye itself, it's a constant blue glow)

This then provides the means to achieve faster than light travel between solar systems, by creating paths between stars filled with molasses - teh speed of light being essentially zero, you can easily achieve faster than light travel between star systems as long as you stay confined to the molasses pathway! Or, you could use something a little less viscous, like milk... I wonder what we would call that pathway.

Can you name the cryptocurrency with the lowest latency for transactions as fast as speed of light? Unpopular opinion : Its @Nano not #Bitcoin

Yeah.. no. If I have a straight row of billiard balls that is over one light year long and I push the one near me forward causing the one at the other end to instantly move, did a billiard ball move faster than light? Hell no it didn't.

Please pardon my anthropomorphizing, but that sounds like that the charge allows them the energy to shove aside any matter that gets in their way. That about it?

Hmmm, these particles can travel faster than light in water but light is slowed down up to 75% of it's normal speed in water so it's not breaking any laws of physics.

Never thought about it this way. Of course! What’s the significance or benefit of this, or is it just for theoretical purposes?

Think about it: if electricity weren’t faster than light, flipping a light switch wouldn’t produce light. (I’m not going to spell this out for you—use those brains. If you can.)

The future is analog, I wish I could afford the Matched Quad set 😁 Western Electric The complete Western Electric technical library :

We need to learn to create a bubble zone that the Higgs field cannot penetrate. Then moving at the speed of light won't be an issue.
