👀 Filmed by me outside on our balcony. This is why LED light is dangerous to our mitochondria. First, let’s understand what we are seeing. Here it is -19°C = -2.2°F . Very different from the coast. The countryside is colder, darker, and holds ice in the air. What we’re seeing is artificial light from street lamps reflecting off ice crystals suspended in very cold air. At around -19°C (from my outdoor thermometer), the air can hold flat, plate-shaped ice crystals that float and slowly fall, almost like microscopic mirrors. 🤔 So why does the light go straight up? Because these ice crystals orient themselves horizontally as they fall. When light from a streetlamp hits them, it reflects vertically, creating straight columns that look like beams shooting into the sky. Our brains expect light to scatter. They are not designed to see perfectly straight columns of light at night. Cold air + ice crystals + modern LED streetlights (highly directional, extremely bright) creates an effect most of us never experienced historically. Older sodium lamps produced soft, diffuse glows. Modern LEDs produce sharp, aggressive pillars, especially in extreme cold. This combination produces light pillars regularly in winter. And this means something worse: Blue light is now being scattered above us and reflected back down, contaminating the night sky from every direction. That is why I call Norway a blue hell zone in winter. Cold should heal mitochondria. Darkness should protect them. LEDs destroy both.

Universities teach many erroneous models. One example of a misleading teaching is the Newtonian model of the prism. A man named Johann Goethe corrected and complimented Newton's model about 100 years after Newton. It is not the same light passing through the prism and distributing. It is a brand-new light with each beam of color. The primary light hitting the prism is extinguished by the electrons making up the glass of the prism itself. Those same electrons re-emit a brand new light from each angle. That process happens at the rate of c. Serving the illusion that the original white light came it... separated and exited to continue on. The depictions of light "splitting" and "bending" through a prism based on their color is false. Ever hear Albert Einstein’s voice? He’s him explaining his formula, E=mc² It is probably the most famous formula in the world, but what exactly does it mean? Let's start by defining each letter in the formula: E = Energy M = Mass C = Speed of light (a very large number) If we were to read the formula, we would say, "Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared." The formula itself is rather simple in that it essentially says that energy and mass are different forms of the same thing; they are interchangeable. So are you saying a beam of light and a banana are different forms of the same thing? Yes, in our head, this may not make sense, but it does in nature. This discovery was groundbreaking at the time because people had previously believed that energy could only be created by kinetic or potential energy. You can increase kinetic energy by accelerating your car. You can increase potential energy by stretching a rubber band. Einstein demonstrated that there was a third form, which is that things have energy because they simply exist. Ok, so why is mass multiplied by the speed of light? Whenever you are converting mass to pure energy, it is by nature moving at the speed of light. Pure energy is an electromagnetic radiation, which travels at 186,000 miles/sec (300,000 km/sec). Ok, cool, but why is the speed of light squared? This again has to do with the nature of energy. If an object is moving twice as fast as another object, it does not have twice as much energy. Rather, it has four times as much energy. Hence, the speed of light is squared, which comes out to a very big number. C^2 is the conversion factor from mass to energy. The bottom line is that even small objects have an immense amount of energy. Through the process of nuclear fusion/fission via nuclear power plants, we can harness some of this energy. In the atomic bomb that destroyed the city of Hiroshima, there was about 700 milligrams (equivalent to the weight of 1/3 of a dime) of uranium which was converted to energy that destroyed everything within a 1-mile (1.6 km) blast radius.

🚨Thorium Reactors: China Just Did What Everyone Else Talked About for 50 Years China has just crossed a line the rest of the world never managed to step over. Their experimental thorium molten salt reactor has successfully converted thorium into uranium-233 and sustained nuclear fission inside a working system. This matters more than most people realize. Thorium has always been the nuclear fuel that sounded great in theory and died in practice. It is more abundant than uranium. It produces less long lived waste. It is also harder to weaponize. The physics have been understood since the Cold War, but the problem was always execution, materials, corrosion and chemistry. Control. China solved enough of those problems to make the fuel cycle work. The reactor in question is small, producing only two megawatts so it's not powering cities or feeding the grid, but that is not the point. This was a proof of capability, not a commercial rollout. They demonstrated something no other country has publicly demonstrated. Breeding uranium-233 from thorium inside a molten salt reactor and using it to sustain fission. That single step unlocks the entire thorium fuel cycle. They did it with a reactor that operates at atmospheric pressure, uses liquid fuel, and can be designed to shut itself down passively if things go wrong. No danger of high pressure steam explosions, no fuel rods to melt and no water cooling dependency. China has large domestic thorium reserves. Uranium supply chains are global, fragile, and politically exposed. Thorium changes that equation. It also changes waste profiles and long term fuel availability. In theory, it allows centuries of base load power from material that was previously treated as a curiosity. The United States, Europe, and others studied molten salt reactors decades ago and walked away. Not because they were impossible, but because conventional uranium reactors were already entrenched, regulated, and profitable. Thorium was disruptive before disruption was fashionable. China stayed with it and built materials science programs around it. They accepted slow progress. They ran experiments without promising headlines, and now they are the only country that can point to an operating thorium molten salt reactor that actually does what the textbooks said it should. This does not mean commercial thorium power is around the corner. Scaling this is hard and so is licensing it. Operating molten salt systems for decades is hard. But the breakthrough is real.
