🐘💧The ongoing European heatwave means that even elephants are desperate for some refreshment A baby elephant at Vienna Zoo, about to turn a year old on August 20, is learning how to beat the heat by watching its mother and "aunt". According to Vienna Zoo, the male baby elephant spends a lot of time with an older female elephant who currently enjoys taking a dip in the bathing pool of their enclosure, encouraging the baby elephant to follow suite. "Our young bull elephant is always right there in the thick of it. He usually follows right after his favourite aunt, already checking to see how deep he can go into the bathing pool," said zoo keeper Jenny Bukowski. "Once bath time is over, it’s usually time for the mud, followed by the sand—making for the perfect skincare routine."

Nature’s miracle! A newborn elephant calf (probably no more than 10 mins old) learning to stand and walk with help from his mother. In the end, the mom must have signalled the rest of the herd that there might be some danger, & they all came and circled around🐘🐘🐘😍🥰♥️

This baby elephant gets upset because his caretaker was playing with another young elephant. 😳 An elephant is literally throwing a tantrum! 😂 I never knew they got jealous and made noises like that. 🤯 Jealousy at its’ best. I love that little elephant. ❤️

A wild elephant was at this water hole when her 3 week old baby fell in. Mom was extremely anxious and when keepers first came over to try to help, Mom charged! Watch how Mom is moved out of the way with the tractor, so keepers can jump in to save baby 🐘.

That elephant didn’t even bother turning around to deal with the hippo that was biting its butt. It just gave a slow backward kick, and the hippo ran off in panic 🐘😂

When a cute moment turns scary😂🐘🥰🥳 This was just a few weeks old baby elephant already discovering the world with wide-eyed curiosity, nothing else. Vehicles are still very new to him, so he decided to come and investigate; who are you🤨🚙🐘
