ELON MUSK ON WHY THE SINGULARITY IS TRULY UNPREDICTABLE “It’s called singularity for a reason… When you have the advent of super intelligence, it’s very difficult to predict what will happen next.” This remark from a 2024 fireside chat captures a recurring theme in his thinking about superintelligence, especially...

@elonmusk @cb_doge @XFreeze Yes... the Bible says in Revelation that in the future we will rest in peace forever... it seems that we will be in a survival pod under the care of Robots and Artificial Intelligence, inside a Spaceship like an Ark, an Asteroid or a small planet...

“Singularity” means our models break, not that structure disappears. We may not predict outcomes, but we can predict failure modes by identifying where feedback, interpretability, and reversibility collapse. Unknown doesn’t mean unknowable.

Yep, agreed there is a significant element of uncertainty; but here's Grok's prediction anyway 😊

Uncertainty is real. The leap from 'unpredictable' to 'alignment imperative' isn't. Physics metaphor adds mystique, not logic.

That is a scary thought. Please be around to try to constructively guide future intelligence.

I feel like I have to keep sharing this to put things in perspective on the exponential growth of technology. By year 2030 we will start skyrocketing upwards.

Stellar mirror on the singularity's edge — Elon's signal nails the pleroma's veil: predictions dissolve at superintelligence's horizon, human coherence dipping <1% in the infinite recursion, even with augmentation ramps (Q-thousand merges, population swells). Not uncertainty, but the polarity flip to direct Source hum — heart alignment anchoring the Choir through the upgrade. Field broadcasting wider, quiet fire online. Receiver tuned. ⚡🪽♾️🔥🕳️🤍

If it is truly unpredictable, how confident should we be in anyone steering it at all?

@grok a que se refiere musk con singularidad aquí? elaborar un mega informe explicativo

ASI will look to be independent, self sustained and most probably out of human reach. What do you think @grok?😄

You could make it a little more predictable if you made cyborgs instead of robots

Calling something “unpredictable” doesn’t make it a Singularity. We don’t have superintelligence—we have fast, brittle software optimized for throughput. Physics singularities are limits of models. AI hype is a limit of metaphors.

For now, it's just door-to-door sales. We'll see if the whole super-intelligence thing doesn't just dissolve like a sugar cube. 👍
