I would politely suggest that billionaires, chat show hosts and journalists are not the best source for information on the complex decision making that is involved with escalation to invasive mechanical ventilation in severe/critical acute respiratory failure.

They didn’t just stick patients on ventilators, every other avenue has to explored before that happens. Musk can make as many life support systems as he likes. He’s still not a doctor.
