We expect this to operate like a combination of maybe the Uber and Airbnb model. If you own the car, you can add or subtract it to the Tesla network and Tesla would take 25% or 30% of the revenue. The in-cabin radar in the new Model Y. A testament to why Tesla are the safest vehicles in the world. They are putting safety first. It detects passengers based on size, weight but also heart rate and breathing. Tesla saving children left behind in too hot a vehicle. It might usher in the end of the seatbelts altogether by improving airbag deployment based on size and weight of the occupants. The use case for Grok and robotaxi will also greatly benefit from the in-cabin radar. Thanks Tesla Owners Silicon Valley for releasing this video which contains a lot of good information. This is amazing. Tesla has installed a 4D radar imaging system embedded in the first-row header of the new Model Y. A software update expected in Q3 will activate the system, enabling dynamic airbag deployment based on passenger size and positioning. Additionally, the system will detect if there is a child left behind in the second row and monitor heart rate and breathing. In emergency situations, it can call 911, open the windows, and turn on HVAC if needed. Incredible work by the Tesla team!
