We tested Tesla Full Self-Driving v12.3.6 to see if it would stop for a child-sized mannequin in a school crosswalk. In all three tests, the Full Self-Driving Tesla hit the child. Elon Musk, take your defective software off our public roads until the safety defects are fixed.

@Tesla @elonmusk Your mannequin is flawed, which heavily biases this result. Kids have arms and legs which move. Your mannequin is pulled unnaturally from the side. If you look at other tests, typically ones with AEB testing, you'll notice the VRUs have limbs that move and a gait.

@Tesla @elonmusk Dirty Tesla did a much more credible test and it performed much better than this. I’m having a hard time believing it. But my primary question is where are the tests of Dan testing his vehicles with his software. Scam alert. Dans a fraud.

Elon Musk just dropped a Tesla bombshell in Davos. Insurance companies are now offering Tesla drivers 50% off if they use full self-driving. MUSK: “Recently some of the insurance companies have said that it is so safe, Tesla full self-driving is so safe, that they’re offering customers half price insurance, if they use Tesla full self-driving in their car.” Then he added: “I think self-driving cars is essentially a solved problem at this point.”
