Simplicity is at the heart of great software. This is one of the reasons why Claude Code has been sticky for me. As a builder, I love planning and brainstorming, and this is now a key focus of Claude Code. I use Shift + Tab a lot to cycle between brainstorming, planning, and execution. This functionality provides the appropriate interface for me to either be very involved or less involved as I please. This works particularly well when building out new and complex features or entire new projects. This saves a huge amount of time. It allows me to tune Claude Code to execute and build more effectively. It also builds a loop of trust, and I often (surprisingly) find Claude Code asking for clarifications when it's confused. Coding agents don't normally do that. I have shared before on the power of brainstorming with AI for longer times. Try it and you will not be disappointed. Vibe coding is fun, but pair it with intentional development cycles, and you watch how far you can take a project with coding agents today.

I predicted that Tesla would not have non-geofenced, unsupervised Full Self-Driving Teslas in Austin by July 1. Today is July 1, and Elon's predictions were completely wrong. By his own definition of intelligence, he is not that smart. I have always been better at predicting things about Tesla Full Self-Driving than Elon Musk is. That's why No Safe Words crowned me the "world's leading autonomous vehicle safety expert". As I predicted, Tesla's "Robotaxi" is geofenced to a small area in Austin. It is not autonomous, and is supervised both remotely and from the passenger seat. The only passengers it has carried so far are Tesla Cultists and shareholders. Tesla has not launched a real robotaxi service like the one Waymo operates. The 11 supervised robotaxis it has deployed made at least 17 safety critical and driving errors in just the first week of operation. Elon predicted in October 2024 that Tesla would have a 30% growth in sales in 2025. Tesla's sales fell 13% in Q1 2025 and tomorrow's delivery numbers are expected to be similarly terrible. I predict that Tesla's sales growth in 2025 will be less than 30%. Elon also predicted every year for the past 11 years that Tesla would solve autonomous driving by the end of the year. His predictions have been wrong every single year for over a decade. I predict that Tesla will not solve autonomous driving this year. Bash commands, git, env variables, provider connections. All manual through the terminal with a Claude panel running alongside. - Claude Code Desktop: once everything is configured. GitHub connected, CLAUDE.md, Skills, subagents and Hooks ready. Claude Code runs on its own, no more terminal setup, just panels running and outputs to review. - VSCode: when I need to review code by hand. I use it less and less, but there are moments where I have to confirm Claude got it right. I usually open the Claude extension inside VSCode, but it lacks most of the CLI features so it's limited Solid update. Worth trying once your workflows are already set up 👇

The EU and India signed a Free Trade Agreement. It is supposed to double EU exports to India by 2032. The Agreement is supposed to reduce/eliminate tariffs on almost all EU exports to India. EU's tariffs on key industrial and manufactured products will be cut or removed. The Agreement will give EU companies privileged access to India's services market. The document must still be ratified by the necessary institutions. This is expected to happen within about a year. This is a major milestone.

Dexter vs. Claude Code I ran tests overnight and Dexter came out ahead on complex financial tasks that required deep research. Dexter won on: • speed (by 92%) • cost (by 26%) • correctness (by 31%) I use Claude Code often, so this was fun to see. A key challenge for CC is that it relies on web search for financial data. Most of what it finds comes from news sites, blogs, and other secondary sources. Dexter uses primary source data from Financial Datasets, so the performance gap makes sense. Plenty of room to improve on Dexter. The gap will only grow from here. Evals from vals. Report coming next.
