The students at the Philadelphia High School of Performing Arts walked out because of a new dress code. No plunging necklines, back lines, midriffs, short shorts. Students are taken out of class if they violate the code and their parents are called to bring appropriate clothing. This is all in spite of a school district wide rule that children cannot be taken out of class because of clothing. Does the school district or the school have to change their policy? What is your opinion on dress codes?

Hundreds of parents signed a petition asking to preserve their ability to opt their children out of using digital devices during the school day. The school district has pushed back, saying it’s not feasible to let hundreds of students opt out of technology that is essential to the curriculum.

A school fires a guy… then turns around and asks him for a favor. After he’s gone, a large number of students stop showing up, saying they won’t attend if he isn’t there. Suddenly the school wants him to post a TikTok encouraging students to come back. He agrees and does it. Attendance rebounds. Then 85% of the students start wearing T-shirts with his face on them in solidarity. And now the school has the audacity to ask him—again—to make another video telling students they can’t wear the shirts. He advocated for a school feeding program where a child in Nigeria can be assured of a pint of milk, a sandwich and egg. The funny thing is that he did it as Governor of Lagos in partnership with Cadbury, Nestle etc. School feeding program is key to enrolment and attendance. If the almajiri child is assured of food in school, he will go to school. Even their parents would be the ones to push them to school. If a child on the streets of Lagos can eat a decent meal in School, they will stay in class. The UK has a comprehensive school feeding program. The US has a National School Lunch Program. Trying to enroll and teach hungry kids in school is a waste of time. You need to outgrow this 2022 cut and join video format.

Hyderabad, Telangana | Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the Charminar Zone (South Zone), Khare Kiran Prabhakar says, "Yesterday, in Success School, an incident came to our notice. In this school, one lady teacher wrote that everyone has to read Kalma as the homework. Out of 25 students, all were the Muslim students only but one Hindu student was there. It was a complete violation of the education policy as well as the school policy. The parents of the Hindu students came in evening to the police station as well as to a school. The school management has taken action and the MD of the Success school has given a statement and the teacher has been terminated... Parents are satisfied that action has been takein in this case. Police is monitoring the situation. No one should spread any kind of Hindu-Muslim hatedness or any kind of communalism. Please do not entertain any kind of rumors. The school management and parents are on the same side... For the protest here, over 30 people are taken in the preventive custody and the situation is peaceful. Parents have given a statement to the police as well that they do not have any complaint from the management. So we have not registered any kind of complaint regarding this issue. If any kind of further complaints comes to us, we'll take the legal opinion based on that..."
