The WA state auditor got into a heated argument with a journalist during an interview after refusing to take any sort of interest in flagged daycare fraud. From unDivided's Brandi Kruse: "Anybody should be able to watch that exchange and have some very serious concerns about whether the auditor's office even cares." So the whole daycare fraud situation is either (as Brandi Kruse puts it): Embarrassment over the failure to put any controls in place to protect taxpayer money. or Covering up the fraud because it links back to the Washington Democrats by way of support and political donations. Regardless of which one of those it is, what we do know is that the WA state Auditor deserves a vote of No Confidence. And after that exchange with the journalist... The Auditor's newly launched 'Division of Special Investigations' seems more like a way to keep the heat off, rather than looking into the fraud, waste, and abuse of millions of our tax dollars. Time to bring in the Feds. I spent a whole day visiting the Seattle daycares featured in my National Review article with Abigail Anthony about inexplicable spending by WA State Department of Children, Youth & Families . Most did not answer when I knocked. If there were children inside, thick curtains blocked any natural sunlight for them. Neighbors were unaware of daycares a one-minute walk away. Confused residents said that they had no knowledge of a daycare at their address, to which Washington State paid nearly $500,000 last year. WA State Attorney General Nick Brown said that he would focus on prosecuting journalism like this instead of investigating welfare fraud. The State Auditor stated that DCYF records are so bad that millions of dollars over the past four years have been un-auditable. This violates the terms of their federal funding. This video is only half of the footage we captured. Stay tuned.

"Absolutely this deserves investigation! The people of the state of Washington deserve to know what is happening, one way or another. And we need them to trust us" Olympia Republicans demand an investigation into the large columns of proverbial smoke appearing from the DCYF daycare fraud. Quite the opposite from their Democrat counterparts, who snapped at the press for even asking questions. The Center Square Washington

Washington state currently has the 2nd most expensive gas in the country. 10 cents more than the island state of Hawaii and only 40 cents shy of California, who has to import their gasoline from the Atlantic Ocean. It's the WA state gas and climate taxes, which currently contribute about $1.18 per gallon. To add insult to injury, those unaffordable taxes pay for the 4th worst maintained road infrastructure in the US. You don’t have to watch the whole thing, but look how many Somali cares there are? There’s hundreds more than this, my arm was getting tired from holding the camera. They don’t even speak English, so therefore you know WA State Department of Children, Youth & Families is making these profiles, sending taxpayer funds

Another $416 MILLION unaccounted for?! Governor Ferguson's Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) have an un-auditable $416 MILLION of taxpayer funds, according to State Auditor Pat McCarthy (D). At the same time, taxpayer funded daycare fraud is being exposed nationwide. This recent grim news comes after decades of tax increases from WA Democrats, record spending, a squandered $15 BILLION surplus, the largest tax increases and spending spree last year, $1.17 BILLION in missing COVID money, $1 BILLION in wasted Labor & Industries tech projects, $646 million of unemployment money being stolen by Nigerian scammers, $340 million going to non-citizens, and so much more. There must be more accountability and transparency of your money. Our $ave WA budget focused on savings by targeting waste, fraud, and abuse (SB 5810). Imagine what these BILLIONS alone could have paid for. #UnaccountableWA #UnaffordableWA #waleg KOMO News
