Sounds quite true Interesting that residential electric rates in Southern California are between 26 and 56 cents per kilowatt hour Obviously, global abundance requires abundant affordable energy Ultimately the 26x - 56x markup will become hard to justify by power companies

I wish this were the case. Energy companies will never allow rates to get that low as they have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders.

That would be great, actually prices are kept in German charging networks artificially high 0,59-0,89€ cents (besides Tesla) this keeps TCO of EV fleet cars on price parity or even higher than ICE. The public need to be educated about production cost declines to make right choises

Let me help Energy CS Wandayi: Kenya’s average electricity tariff is about $0.26 per kilowatt hour. In Uganda it is about $0.17, in Rwanda about $0.19, in Tanzania about $0.10, and in Ethiopia it is below $0.01 per kilowatt hour. That means power in Kenya is 26 times more expensive than Ethiopia, 2.6 times more expensive than Tanzania and more expensive than any of our other neighboring countries.. When you combine these high electricity costs with high and inconsistent taxes levied on manufacturers, it becomes clear why Kenyan industries are struggling to compete regionally and to survive locally.
