🛑 Enough is enough! It’s absolutely outrageous that Asda is shipping in lamb from the other side of the world—Australia and New Zealand—while our own hardworking British farmers are left out in the cold. We need to stand up and say we want British lamb on those shelves! 🇬🇧🐑... show more

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson I voted for British Lamb when I voted to stay in the EU. The Farmers said they knew better and voted for Brexit so the UK could set up new trade deals, which undermined British businesses and workers. Take this issue up with Farage and Reform

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson I want British meat that's not religiously slaughtered and i want it labelled

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Didn’t you vote for this? It was a Brexit benefit remember?

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Do you have statistics to back your claim. Brexit was voted on imagination, nothing to do with farmers

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Sorry I disagree…it baffles me that people will stick by Brexit. Benefits ranged from; New food markets Better border control More money for nhs and a better system Out of curiously will you be voting reform at the next election? If it was held tomorrow.

@FarmersToAction @1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson You’re a fuckign idiot tho

@FarmersToAction @1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Ah ok… which part of what I said there makes me that?

@FarmersToAction @1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Are you senile too ? Nz lamb being in uk Stores is direct result of Brexit

@_szeke @FarmersToAction @1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson There was a FTA between UK-NZ in 2022 that removed tariffs between the two nations, NZ means of production are lower and giving it a competitive edge, it's not rocket science champ....that said not all the farmers fault, Buy British

@smerkinkones @FarmersToAction @1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Completely agree with this. And as stated I also try and buy British. But we can’t complain when we see other countries produce in our supermarkets. It was a benefit farmers voted for.

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson It's what the Brits voted for. They wanted to open the free market. It's a bi-product of Brexit, its one of the free trade deals people wanted instead of the closed market. UK farmers can't compete with these huge herds. It was widely predicted, dismissed as Operation Fear.

@Lakesman5 @1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson This is why I buy directly from the butcher’s who’s supply is local from a local farm and Non Halal I don’t mind paying the extra to know where my meat comes from & to know the Animal hasn’t been abused in the name of religion

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Do you think to ask WHY your products are not purchased? Do you not think to question the cataclysmic damage Brexit did to you/the UK? Has it NOT occurred to you to ask the questions of @Nigel_Farage @TiceRichard ?

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson You wanted Brexit, you were told, repeatedly, that it would fuck you over. You got your Brexit, it’s fucked you over, and you’re here crying about something you were told would fuck you over but wanted it anyway. Morons.

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Have a word with Boris Johnson, signed a disastrous trade deal while pissed, so the story goes.

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson You are happy foisting your opinions in social media, so here's mine. I'd much prefer to support NZ or Australian farmers if it meant I WASN'T supporting Brexshit-suppporting UK farmers or TAXDODGING LANDOWNERS in the UK (or UK farmers who keep WHINGING about everything)!)

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson didn't farmers overwhelmingly voted for Brexit ? well, here's another brexit benefit. just wait until Comrade Farage gets into power...

Farmers need to unite. Create a farmers app that maps out all farms. You enter your postcode. It connects you with the closest local farms. Takes you to their shops. You make an order. They deliver it. You just need to make a deal with a courier or create a farmers courier. Cut out the middleman.

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson I don't quite understand what the issue is! I'm 64 and there's always been NZ and Australian lamb on the shelves at certain times of the year! Is it not a seasonal thing given they're the other side of the world!

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson

I am guessing UK farmers are not enjoying their Brexit. Maybe they should ask Nigel Farage Reform UK (previously Brexit Party) what his thoughts are. If you voted for Brexit, this is on you. Article 2023: This has prompted criticism in Britain that the deals were one-sided, and especially disadvantaged British farmers. Eustice, an enthusiastic Brexiter, criticised the agreement last November for giving too many concessions to Australian and New Zealand farmers, telling the Commons: “Overall the truth of the matter is that the UK gave away far too much for far too little in return.” The agreements – negotiated by Liz Truss during her time as trade secretary – are the first to take effect, after the UK, Australia and New Zealand completed their domestic ratification processes. The business and trade secretary, Kemi Badenoch @KemiBadenoch, called it a “historic moment”, adding: “Businesses up and down the country will now be able to reap the rewards of our status as an independent trading nation and seize new opportunities, driving economic growth, innovation and higher wages.” #Brexit #BrexitDisaster #BritishFarmers

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson I buy all my meat from my farm shop butchers. It’s excellent quality, not pumped full of water and isn’t halal. The price is pretty competitive too and they aren’t collecting my data. It’s a no brainer. We need more independent farm shops.

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson I'm sorry about this but for the proponents of an extreme Brexit, like Farage and Jacob Rees-Mogg (and half the Tory party), this is exactly what they wanted

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson It's a BREXIT BENEFIT. Blame @reformparty_uk and Fartage.

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson You’d think the green lobby would be furious about this and get behind the campaign to eat locally produced food. Foreign food should never be imported if we can produce the same here. Only if there is a deficit should we import.

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson This country needs a humane supermarket that genuinely puts animal welfare before profits. They’d be surprised just how popular they’d be. Sadly. They’re all money grabbing animal abusers @Tesco @sainsburys @AldiUK @LidlGB @marksandspencer @waitrose @Morrisons

@fredgs05 @1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson I'd like to know why lamb shipped half way round the world is cheaper than home grown lamb?

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Looks like British farmers are reaping the rewards of their pro-Brexit stance, well done!

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson And we want it properly stunned and slaughtered in a non-religious manner! Or clearly labelled as halal so we can make an informed choice

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson We have been able to buy New Zealand lamb in this country for many many years!

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson They do but if you’re going to side with Clarkson, Reform and avoiding inheritance tax then there’s no sympathy

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson This is a consequence of Brexit and part of the trade deals with Australia and New Zealand that Johnson hailed as a benefit of Brexit. Those of us who voted remain, said Brexit would be disastrous for farmers. So why did so many farmers support both Brexit and the Conservatives?

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson And you will still vote for the frog face liar god you can't be that bright

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson I get mine from 2 miles up the road. Direct from the farmer and slaughtered humanely. Is it worth the extra cost? Absofuckinlutely

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson We want British meat that is neither openly or covertly, religiously slaughtered.

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson We also don't want Halal !

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson is that HALAL or religiously slaughtered too? I would rather buy from farmers shops direct where we know the abbatoir is not a mega one and is slaughtered according to UK RULES

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Farmers voted for Brexit, you still support Farage, suck it up, this is the consequence

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Been going on for decades. NZ lamb was the only Lamb you could buy for years. Start supporting our own farmers FFS. Unless you want to feckin starve!!

@EfcMunk @1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Asda is shipping in HALAL SLAUGHTERED Lamb. We, in the UK, know where to shop & not. That's the Asda price for ☪️ disregard to animal welfare AND disregard for UK Society as a whole by implementing tribal communities to ensure tribal wars & divisiveness. UK is a Society.

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson If you start slapping but labels on it saying not religiously slaughters and British I will pay extra , as it stands my local butcher couldn't even guarantee that!

@1GarethWynJones @FarmersGuide @FarmersWeekly @FarmingUK @GBNEWS @asda @TheFarmingForum @Telegraph @JeremyClarkson Almost ALL NZ Lamb for export is halal slaughtered. People need to start eating BRITISH sheep meat all year round. Hogget is just as tender, and has more flavour than lamb. Mutton, wonderful for casseroles, stews, and curries - far better than lamb, almost impossible to find😡
