Empowering Citizens: Celebrating 10 Years of Maharashtra's Right to Public Services Act Addressed a program marking the decade of the implementation of the 'Maharashtra Right to Public Service Act, 2015' and the first 'Right to Services Day'. When the system fails to honour the rights of citizens, it's essential that these rights are safeguarded through legislation, empowering citizens to seek redressal. As CM in previous tenure, one of my first decisions was to introduce the Maharashtra Right to Public Services Act during the first cabinet meeting. Today, over 1000 services have been notified under this Act, with 550 to 600 services already available online. We aim to bring another 300 services online soon, and 125 services are currently online but not yet accessible through the common portal. A deadline of August 15, 2025 has been set for full integration. A fine of ₹1,000 will be imposed on the concerned officer for each service per day beyond the defined delivery time. We are also upgrading our Government Portal to provide easier access to services. The vision behind this law is simple: ensuring that every citizen who seeks justice can get it where they need it. If justice is denied, we’ve built a system of appeal and penalty to ensure accountability. We’ve also signed MoU with Meta to bring governance to WhatsApp, simplifying access and improving the ease of living for the common man. To spread awareness and ensure the Right to Services is deeply ingrained in our society, we must incorporate it into school curriculum. Just like how Right to Information Act has empowered citizens, we strive to ensure that the Maharashtra Right to Public Services Act similarly empowers them. The star power of Shankar Mahadevan and Sonali Kulkarni, the brand ambassadors, will help us reach every corner of the State, making governance more people-centric, transparent, and dynamic. DCM Eknath Shinde ji, Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha ji, Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar, and other dignitaries were present. Eknath Shinde - एकनाथ शिंदे Mangal Prabhat Lodha Adv. Empowering Maharashtra’s Legal Landscape! Glad to perform the Bhoomipujan for the new Civil Judge, Junior Division Court building in Mahad, Raigad-Alibag, along with Supreme Court’s Justice Hon Bhushan Gavai ji. This new court building will strengthen judicial infrastructure, ensuring faster and more efficient access to justice for the people of Mahad and nearby regions. Additionally, launched the book "Mahadcha Muktisangram", celebrating its rich legacy. Being in Mahad is truly special, as this land echoes the legacy of the Chavdar Tale Satyagraha, led by MahaManav BharatRatna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar—a pivotal moment in the fight for social equality. The town also serves as a gateway to Raigad Fort, the capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, standing as a proud reminder of Maratha valour and Maharashtra’s rich heritage. This Bhoomipujan marks a significant step toward strengthening judicial infrastructure in Mahad. There will be no obstacles due to funding, as we are committed to ensuring the smooth progress of this project. Every effort will be made to complete the construction on time, providing a well-equipped court for efficient legal proceedings. And I will surely be present for its inauguration. In Maharashtra, judicial infrastructure is being shaped with a distinct vision, thanks to the efforts of Supreme Court Justice Hon Bhushan Gavai ji. His contributions have played a key role in enhancing efficiency and accessibility in the justice system. To support this, around ₹800 to ₹1000 crore has been allocated for the development of judicial infrastructure, reinforcing our commitment to a stronger and more effective legal system. Maharashtra is also set to become the only state in India with 3 prestigious National Law Institutions—in Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, and Mumbai—further strengthening legal education and opportunities. We are rapidly implementing the three new criminal laws, ensuring a smooth transition. Courts will be digitally connected, expediting justice through better evidence management. A Historic Milestone for Maharashtra’s Growth: Inauguration of Navi Mumbai International Airport ✈️ A moment of immense pride for Maharashtra as the Navi Mumbai International Airport was inaugurated today at the hands of Hon Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. Under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, the dream we envisioned a decade ago has now turned into reality. The airport stands as a symbol of Nava Bharat, of progress, resilience, and renewed ambition. Conceived in the 1990s, this project had remained stalled for years. Once PM Modi Ji’s government took office, it was fast-tracked under the PRAGATI portal, and in its very first meeting, all eight pending NOCs were approved, paving the way for this world-class engineering marvel capable of handling 9 crore passengers annually. This airport will play a pivotal role in Maharashtra’s and India’s growth, with the potential to boost the state’s GDP by 1%. Alongside, the inauguration of Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Phase 2B), from Acharya Atre Chowk to Cuffe Parade, marks another proud achievement. This largest underground metro in India, developed with support from the Government of Japan and JICA, will significantly enhance Mumbai’s connectivity. In line with PM Modi Ji’s vision for integrated and seamless transport, the ‘Mumbai One’ app was also launched today. This unified platform enables commuters to travel across Metro, Monorail, Bus, Suburban Rail, and Water Taxi networks with a single ticket, transforming mobility across Mumbai. A defining day that reaffirms Maharashtra’s journey toward a Viksit Bharat, powered by world-class infrastructure and visionary leadership.
