Sam Altman reveals he deliberately got himself addicted to TikTok while building Sora, then deleted it because it was too powerful like a drug. "I deleted TikTok because it was just too powerful. Here's a crazy thing that happened. When we were building the Sora app, I made myself get addicted to TikTok because I wanted to learn." "I'd never really used it before... And I loved it. I love TikTok, I really thought it was great." "And then I thought I could control it. I was like, oh, it's actually kind of fun, but I only use it for 10 minutes to wind down before bed and I'm totally in control of it." "And then it was an hour one night, and then some Saturday afternoon I was on the couch for like 3 hours, and I was like, this is really not what I thought the iPhone was supposed to be about." "Now I'm really enjoying it in the moment like a drug, but I can tell it's bad for me. And then I briefly got it back under control, down to like 5 or 10 minutes a night. Then I was just like, enough."

I solved building decks with AI agents — by giving them a CLI tool like Powerpoint or Google Slides. AI could already make a beautiful deck if you asked it to using Ant's pptx skill. The problem was working with it. If it made one alignment mistake, fixing it on one slide would break something on another, and it became a game of whack-a-mole. One time I spent two days playing AI roulette, hoping the next prompt would finally fix the thing, and ended up building the whole deck by hand because I was on a deadline. So I built Hands-on Deck. And the reason it works is that this isn't just a skill — this is PowerPoint. The actual application: PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, whatever you use. This is that, but for an agent, presented as a CLI. Every gesture you make in a deck app maps to a command. Click a box and type, drag a shape from here to there, look at a slide – agent can do it all in a command. And that changes how the agent behaves. With this CLI it works and thinks like a designer — it looks, makes an edit, looks again, makes another surgical edit. Compare that to Anthropic's pptx skill, built on the idea that Claude is a great programmer: it literally writes code to manipulate the deck, hand-editing XML and hoping it doesn't break anything else in the middle. The real test isn't creating something once — it's whether it can make surgical edits like you want. That's what I did in this video walkthrough and my claude crushed it! Check it out for yourself. So decks can be built like a designer now — with real flavor and taste. If you spend hours every week on decks, this gives those hours back. You can install it as a skill in Claude Code, Codex, whatever you use. Works every harness that supports skills. Let me know if you make something cool with it.

WOW! I'm so excited about this. OpenAI Developers said Codex was good at Computer Use, but I wasn't prepared for this. For the last two weeks I've been working on a Computer Use skill to work with Linux. And while I had some success, it was a pretty frustrating experience. That is...until the breakthrough. Using accessibility tools, Codex can now control my entire computer, not just the browser. There are limits to this, of course, but what a time to be alive. This Computer Use skill will unlock and entirely new set of automations, all powered by Codex. Demonstration below 👇

Constance Wu says an Asian actor she thought was her align sent me some DMs shaming me to the point of me thinking that I needed to end my own life." Juju Chang: "What was it that cut so deep for you?" Constance Wu: "She basically said I had become a blight on the Asian American community and nothing I could ever do would make up for the damage I'd done to the community, that I was like a disgrace. And it made me feel like Asian Americans feel like it would be better if I just didn't exist." Wu says she was in so much pain, she considered the unthinkable and wound up in a psychiatric ER." Constance Wu: "I was lucky enough that a friend who had access to my apartment had come to check up on me. I mean, I pulled myself over the balcony of my apartment building, you know, and I was going to jump. It's like talking about it now makes my palms itch because I remember holding onto it. But ultimately, it ended up being something helpful because it made me get help." Juju Chang: "What did that help look like?" Constance Wu: "It was professional help. So, like, I was in therapy every day for a while. It looked like me completely unplugging from social media and sort of re-evaluating what mattered to me in life and why it mattered to me."

🧸 “how do you feel after getting lasik? is it good?” i’ll tell you guys this! before i got my tonsillectomy, i looked up a lot of vlogs and…a majority of people said that they felt like they were going to die so i was really worried before the surgery but i’m tolerant to pain so it was better than i excepted…my mom always made porridge for me so i ate that well too, ate it for every meal, took my medicines and left the humidifier on so…of course it hurt a bit because i got surgery but it wasn’t that bad 🧸 but after i got my lasik eye surgery, my eyes and nose were running for 6 hours straight and you know how your eyes really hurt when you make eye contact with the sun…like you tear up and your eyes hurt…it was that feeling for 6 hours straight like even if i had my eyes closed, it felt like the sunlight was inside my eyes and i was fighting it for 6 hours straight 🧸 so for the tonsillectomy, i couldn’t eat what i wanted and i couldn’t talk so that discomfort was the thing that was hard…it didn’t hurt but for the lasik eye surgery, my eyes really hurt a lot! the really fascinating thing though is that i was like “mom, this is so hard!!” for 6 hours and then i got tired of it so i fell asleep and when i woke up after 3 hours, i could see the world really well, i was fascinated and was like “mom!! it doesn’t hurt at all anymore and i can see things very well!!”

Drea de Matteo: The regret I felt voting for Biden was insane. "I had Trump derangement syndrome for a minute there. I believed the hype. By the way, I thought it was progressive of me to be like, I'm not getting that vaccine because it's my body, my choice, and this is the way we think over here. We're hippies, right? Us on the left are hippies. Californians are hippies. I feel like this state has gone completely f-ing mad."

Matthew McConaughey says he accepted True Detective in 12 seconds because he stopped caring what size screen it was on "That script comes along. I'm turning the pages and I cannot wait to see what comes outta this character Rustin Cohle's mouth, every single page. It was just hot sh*t. And the identity was so clear" "I then go, there's that question, it's on TV, what are you doing going on TV? I remember calling my agent Jim Toth, and I was like, this question is something we should raise" "And he goes, 'All right, why do you go after all...' I go, 'Man, I want a great role and I want it being a great story. I want great character. I wanna be in a great story'" "And he goes, 'You hear what you said?' I said, 'Yep, and I didn't say a damn thing about what size screen it's on, let's go'" "And we'd made the decision in 12 seconds"

And I've been with Ange for years and she's, it's impossible to surprise her now because we've been together for so long." 🥹 "But P1, obviously I missed P1. P2, I was miles away a second, over a second. I thought, OK, I'll be OK for P3. P3, I'm still like half a second away. And I'm like, whoa. I was very, very anxious going into the qualifying session." I can see it on the data, but having the confidence in the car to do what you need to, to close the gap but then be ahead is a real challenge." "And, you know, the team did a fantastic job, firstly. And I think the setup change we made was great. This is the best qualifying we've had. This autoplayed afterwards and that was it. It was over. I had my head buried in my hands and everyone was just staring at me. I could not handle what I was hearing and seeing on the screen, my entire body was convulsing. I was laughing so hard it felt like it would never stop

Leonardo DiCaprio explains how the foot-opening-the-car-door scene in Wolf of Wall Street actually happened “That sequence, funnily enough, I thought was going to be very short. And when I did it with Marty, he had 50 shots set up. And I said, 'We're working on this for 2 days of me crawling from the telephone booth to the car.'” “He was like, 'Yeah, I'm going to do overhead shot, side shot. I'm going to make the stairs bigger. I want this to be like a dream sequence where you can't get to the car.'” “So I looked at Leo and I said, 'What are we going to do? You still have to open the door.' He says, 'I'll use my foot.' If anything, it was just the sheer exhaustion of doing that for hours and hours on end. Suddenly the foot felt like a good idea.”

Mark Ruffalo says Kevin Feige furiously called him in the middle of a movie premiere just to thank him for illegally leaking the film, saying it was their biggest marketing "they asked me to do social media backstage and at that time it was like Facebook Live had just hit the apps" "I was back there doing my Facebook Live, and I thought I hit the off button. But I didn't realize it had two different off buttons" "five minutes in and my phone is blowing up, everyone and their mother was texting me from all over the world to tell me that my phone was on and I was live broadcasting the movie" "they sent a lady down... and she's like, 'your phone! Your phone is on.' I was like 'no it's not, it's in my pocket.' She's like, 'it's on, it's on!'" "I got a call from Kevin Feige... the boss. He's like, 'what are you doing, man? You can't do this stuff'" "I walk over to him to say sorry and he grabs me in a bear hug, and he's like, 'that was genius! We got more press from that than the whole premiere!'"

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown was really good today on Lamar Jackson: "He can play in any system, too. That's another thing I fought hard for when I was there my first two years. People telling me, 'Oh this system was built for him.' I hated hearing that. Because he is the system. He can play in any system. That was foolish to hear." I followed up for clarification: "It was just people saying that to me. In the building, out the building. I just didn't like hearing that. I'm like 'what you mean, this is the system you built around his skillset?' He has an unlimited skillset."

“Because I think a lot of people are familiar with you know, pop stars have these alter egos on stage and then they're also a little bit potentially different behind the scenes. Can you talk about what the difference is between those two personas?” ROSÉ: I think, you know, like I started off as, my whole career started as Blackpink and I feel like it was so much fun creating this character on stage because I'm just from like Australia, like in my bedroom, but like it was so much fun creating this like pop star, like character. It was so much fun. And then I think creating my first solo album, it was my discover of like, you know, who am I? And like when I was naming the album, I really thought a lot about it. There was like options like, you know, number one girl. And then a lot of people did like, what about Rosie? And at first I was like, it seems a bit like narcissistic. I'm not sure. And then it slowly grew on me. And then, you know, just the idea of it being Rosie because Rosé has been such a big part of my life. And that's what we present ourselves as Blackpink, Blackpink Rosé. And I felt like this was very opposite. And so I noticed that it was closer to kind of introducing a different version of me, like because it combined all the stories I would talk about with my friends and family. And they call me Rosie at home. And of course, the online name that the company had made for me from at the beginning of Blackpink, I remember when it happened was like the day before they released my picture, profile picture, they were like, Rosé. And like the name got announced.

Caleb Hammer reveals he rents a private jet to help him get over his panic attacks - "I burst down in tears. It's really bad." Caleb: "I'm trying to get over my fear of flights and I guess I'm rich now, so that's nice. Knock on wood with all." Chris: "Does that help you get over your fear of flights?" Caleb: "I rented a PJ. Tell me. That's a waste of money." Chris: "Is that easier or harder?" Caleb: "So, it's a control thing for me. I don't like being stuck in a situation that I can't control." Chris: "Do you know how to fly the PJ?" Caleb: "No, but I can say let's land. I can't do that with a commercial jet." Chris: "Well, you could make a big enough fuss, but it would be a real headache." Caleb: "And bad for my career, too. So, that would be a real headache." Chris: "Pause." Caleb: "Yeah." Chris: "What was the first time with your travel anxiety getting on a PJ? Like," Caleb: "It was—oh, the PJ itself, it was actually really bad when we filmed it, too. We filmed it. It's on the internet. I burst down in tears. It's really bad." Chris: "I'm sorry, man." Caleb: "Oh, it was anxiety. Like, that's not—" Chris: "Yeah, I don't think that you should dismiss it like that." Caleb: "But it's not like something bad happened to me, right? Like, anxiety is make-believe. It's not real. My brain thinks it's real, but it's not. So, I was crying. I was sad. But you know what was actually making me more sad and crying? A lot of people thought it was out of pure terror. It was remembering a lot of the things that I haven't done. A lot of the family I haven't visited because of my fear of travel."
