Let’s also be clear, MAGA enjoys the harm inflicted on these families, they don’t care if they are criminals, undocumented, citizens or kids - so long as they are Latino. Neither ICE nor MAGA care about the constitution unless it directly serves them or inflict pain on others. We asked PAXIS what the constitution says: If federal agents were sweeping families off the street because of the color of their skin, that would not be “enforcement.” It would be a direct collision with the Constitution. The Fourth Amendment does not allow dragnet seizures. The Fifth Amendment does not permit racial targeting by the federal government. Immigration authority does not erase equal protection. A street roundup based on skin color would be the kind of government power the Constitution was written to restrain. Race is not probable cause. Skin color is not suspicion. The constitution is not beyond scrutiny. If citizens feel it no longer serves them, they are entitled to question it until politicians and the Constitutional Court acknowledge the depth of public dissatisfaction.
