Load of malarkey. My teams (hundreds) produced way more, more efficiently and were much happier working from home. Now. This is industry specific. Even role specific. But for developers, marketers and analysts… we got way more bang for our buck letting folks work from home.

Everyone I know, including me, that works for startups - works from home In this funding environment there is no money for an office The difference is, finding 10-50 hard charging work-a-holics is easy Finding +10k of them is very hard

Talked to Google a few years ago about interviewing. Didn’t do it, but they said they had carefully studied how to get the most out of employees. > 45 hours a week of high level work wasn’t sustainable over the long term. Long hours are fine for grunt work only.
