Piping hydrotests are usually completed with untreated water purchased from the city and accessed using a fire hydrant. Hard sell to say bacteria was caused by pressure testing. I would need solid proof before I believed this claim from an ambulance chaser.

I get it maybe they need to do something better to filter the water after it comes out of these places however this whole full on no data center is 100% fucking Chinese propaganda. If you don’t believe it, you’ve lost a fucking plot. The reality is they’re fucking paying for this bullshit. They’re paying for every underline and over the top. They’re trying to be AI. Warm water pulled heat off the AI chips, then evaporated into the air to shed it. It was effective, but it burned through fresh water continuously, which is where the headline numbers come from today around "data centers use a massive amount of water." The data centers we revealed at Build today don't work that way. The cooling loop is closed. Water is added once during construction and recirculates indefinitely between the servers and the chillers. No evaporation, no fresh-water resupply! Satya put the scale in plain terms: a full year of water use is roughly what a single restaurant uses. Keep in mind that for us, every liter and every watt is an optimization target. The economics and the environment push in the same direction!

Filters to ensure water perfectly uniform and flow is consistent to move heat. Ultrasonic monitors to measure the flow. The water has specific ratio of propylene glycol (an alcohol) to prevent bacteria or algae growth that can block heat transfer from GPUs to cold plates.
