“One of the most dazzling and inventive books I’ve read in a very long time—a novel I continue to describe as indescribable. I’ve now read it twice and can’t decide if it’s a thriller, a farce, a political commentary. I don’t know what it is other than I love it” —Writers at Work

Portable is calling out the organizers for being partial in his fight with CarterEfe. He accused them of not counting all his “blows” He also said the reason he couldn’t win was because he knew his wife was in labour and about to have his baby. He challenged any man who would know his wife is in the hospital and still be fighting a match.

Phakelumthakathi addressed what he described as Julius Malema's disrespect toward Zulu Nation and his tendency to look down on them, calling them unskilled and uneducated men. He said: "Sometimes Julius Malema is careless with his words, and he has always been like that. But as a rural man who was raised by strong male figures, I believe the problem is that Julius Malema did not have a father figure while growing up."

Trump: "I was thinking about this character we have in the house. His name is Hakeem Jeffries. He's a low-IQ person…I watched what he was saying, the horrible things he was saying, and I said, 'He's a dumb guy.' Wait a minute, he's a 'dum-a-crat.'"

Walton Goggins tells Tarantino he's not leaving the audition room — 'Getting the job is irrelevant to me' “I said: I'm not leaving. He said: what do you mean? I said: I want to read all of these roles. He said: what are you talking about? I said: getting the job is irrelevant to me.” “Quentin read every other role as if he was filming it. And then I read Leo's role and he read every other role as if we were filming it — and it was one of the greatest days of my life as an artist.” “A couple of months go by — and I get a call that he wants me to come and play with him. And that was the beginning of two of the greatest experiences of my life.”

Alice Schroeder on Warren Buffett during the dot-com bubble. "I asked him one time how he felt about this barrage of criticism that he was receiving in the press. This was the first time I got any kind of insight into the personality of Warren — what he was like — because up until then I had only known him as an investor and a businessman." "When I asked him how did he feel about this siege of criticism, he said, 'It never gets better. It always hurts just as much as the first time.'" "It was really remarkable that he could withstand this [and] not change his investing style at all." (Microsoft || 2008)

President Tinubu: “President Buhari was not a perfect man—no leader is—but he was, in every sense of the word, a good man, a decent man, an honourable man. Nigerians and the world will debate his record, as all legacies are. “Still, the character he brought to public life, the moral force he carried, and the incorruptible standard he represented will not be forgotten. His life was dedicated to serving Nigeria and Allah.”

WATCH — Terry Moran 🇺🇸: “He was loud. He sounded like a man shouting at the nation. He said the guy who’s gone, it’s still his fault- and it’s not as bad as you think it is… but facts of people’s lives refute you. I thought that was a huge mistake.”

I asked Ali what made Steve Jobs so unique, and he described the way that he was obsessed with doing the basics well...listening, speaking, thinking. "He worked on his own thinking. So he was not just thinking about like the business, the products, his team, he was thinking about his own thinking."

Neville Addresses Being Called A “W*nker” In Public: “I Thought He Was Gonna Set The Dog On Me!” 😬 Gary Neville has addressed the moment a man approached him and his wife on their way to watch James at a concert, calling him a “w*nker” and a “f*cking pr*ck”. He said the part that really bothered him was the fact his wife was with him, but he soon forgot about it and enjoyed the concert. Gary admitted his mistake was not filming the man himself, because now no one can see who he is, and if he had filmed it, the guy may not have posted the video. He also revealed the man had a really aggressive dog with him, and at one point Gary thought he was going to let it off the lead to savage him! Roy Keane, never missing, chimed in at the end: “Let him go back to his slip and have a good night’s sleep.” 😂
