This man was criticized for expecting a “thank you” for a good deed. He always saw the same man walking when he drove to work. He assumed the man was walking because he did not have any other means of transportation. He used his own money and bought the man an electric scooter, the man took the scooter and just silently walked away, no thank you or anything else at all. I don’t think that was too much to ask, a thank you goes a long way, otherwise it makes people look ungrateful. Back in college, I had a classmate that I always saw walking home after class. It didn’t matter whether it was raining or snowing, or hot out. Whenever I drove past him he always looked miserable and I could tell he didn’t like to walk all the time. In class I had asked him where he lived, and I found out it was on my way home so I offered to drop him off because it was really cold out and had snowed about a foot. He agreed and we chatted on the way home, nothing serious just pleasant conversation. I dropped him off and went on my way home. For me this was a one time thing, I only offered because how bad it was snowing. After class the next day, he walked with me and when I got to my car he got in. I didn’t agree or offer him a ride that day but he assumed that since I was ok with giving him a ride the day prior that I would be ok with it this day too. I didn’t say anything about it because at this point I didn’t care really. So the next day came and went, once again he walked with me to the car but that day was different. I wouldn’t be going his way because I had to work after class. So before I got to the car I said “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He looked dumbfounded and said aren’t you taking me home? I said no, I have to get to work. He then asked me how he would get home, and I told him the same way you always have. He then gave me excuses for why I was being a jerk because I was making him walk in the cold. I didn’t argue I just told him I helped him out when I could, but I wasn’t about to go out of my way because he didn’t have a car and besides I didn’t want to be late for work. He didn’t speak to me for the rest of the semester because of it, something tells me I was better off not offering to help in the first place.

WILLIAMEST PRESSTOUR #WilliamEstFanconPressTour #Flex1045xWilliamEstFANCON 🎤: so est, if william’s ever angry or sulking, how would you get him to feel better and make up with him? what’s your method? 🦈: i talk to him. because every time he’s like that, i always do. though it’s not that often. but i go talk to him. and i feel like, if we get to talk, he’ll definitely stop sulking because i know him well. but there was this one time he just disappeared. 🎸: when was that? 🦈: at the gym 🎸: oh yes 🦈: yes, there was this time we were working at this building and once we were done, there was this weird tension. and then when work finished, he just disappeared. like, we hadn’t even had a chance to talk. i called, he didn’t pick up. i messaged him, he didn’t reply. and i felt like, okay this time it’s probably serious. probably the most intense he’s ever sulked. really if i count from then till now, that was the biggest one. the most intense. and i felt like it wasn’t something i could just ignore because he had never acted like that before. so i went to find him. i knew where he was. 🎤: how did you know where he was? 🦈: i asked his mom. 🎤: you asked his mom? 🦈: yes. 🎸: but honestly, back then, it was a problem that both of us were facing. i was like i couldn’t handle it anymore. i was starting to feel like i just couldn’t take it anymore. but it was also like, at that time, i told him, “let’s get through this together.” that was something i said. it was at that point like, i was really starting to not be able to handle it anymore and i didn’t know what to do. i just didn’t want to talk to anyone, didn’t want to see anyone at all. at that point, i felt like i was just tired. like i didn’t even know what i wanted in life anymore. i was eating completely zoned out. it was that kind of feeling. i still remember it clearly. i was sitting, eating by the edge somewhere and then this really familiar car drove by. it was p’est’s car. he had driven from the building to the gym to see me 🎤: was the restaurant far from the building? 🎸: umm…not too far. 🦈: about like almost half an hour. but there was traffic that day. 🎤: so you had to push through the traffic too, right? 🎸: and he still got there super fast. 🦈: i was really anxious. really anxious at that time.

#SEONGHWA about meeting DPRIAN 😭🩶 ⭐️: Yesterday, I finally had time in my schedule.. actually, more than my schedule permitting it, hyungnim had time in his and he also happened to be in LA, so I went to see him. He said he wanted to show me around his studio and somehow everything just lined up… so I became a successful fan! Yesterday was actually the first time I got to meet him and he greeted me really warmly ㅎㅎ When I arrived to the practice room he was blowing bubbles, like this, to welcome me. So it was very ㅎㅎ very fun and heartwarming. He gave me a tour of the studio and ordered pizza for us to share. While we were eating, I asked him a lot of questions about things I was curious about, like music video behind stories and details about songs of his I love. You know the way we interpret a song differs depending on the listener, but I wanted to hear directly from him what kind of feeling he had when creating those songs. I wanted to hear the real stories from the person who made them, so I asked a lot of those kinds of questions. And it was really fascinating because what I had in mind was actually very similar to what hyungnim had intended. So that was very fascinating. He also told me so many kind and encouraging things… it really motivated me a lot, especially in what I’m doing now. So, ever since I came to the U.S. I was hoping I could meet him and get his autograph. I went all over the place trying to find a CD… but wow, everything was sold out! So eventually I was like, “Ah, it can’t be helped, I’ll just go without one.” I really like keeping physical albums from artists. For books too, e-books are great too, but there’s something special about being able to touch and feel a real book or album, you know? But then, just as we were saying goodbye, hyungnim said he had something for me and handed me the album himself. And then he said that he had left the message section empty on purpose because he was like “I wanted to write something after actually meeting you Seonghwa-ssi and seeing how I felt”. So just before I left, he wrote it down and the words were so beautiful. That really stayed with me. I too, when meeting others, used to write the messages in advance and bring them along, but now I feel like… if I ever get the chance again, I’d also like to write something based on my impression after the meeting and give it to them. There’s something really romantic about that. Also, watching him work (know about his artistic process) up close.. wow, it was just… really, really cool. So yeah I had such a happy, unforgettable time. He said he watched a lot of our performances too, and when he talked about the ones he’s seen, it made me so happy. On stage, he come across as super sexy, right? But when he was speaking, he was so humble and just kind… he just genuinely felt like a hyung. He was incredibly sweet and.. ah, am I like that too? ㅎㅎ I really had a good time. What stage he liked best? He said he’s seen my solo stage. I’m not sure if it was from Towards The Light or this current one (Skin), but he said it was really great to see how deeply I immersed myself in the concept. He also mentioned watching our Coachella stage, and he really enjoyed the sword-drawing part too. He shared a lot of really kind and encouraging words. To be honest, I had worried that my visit might feel like a burden or a hassle for him, but it was the opposite. He was so warm and welcoming, and apparently he was actually really curious about me too and really wanted to talk to me. So it ended up being a truly wonderful day. I came back full of inspiration. Of course, our biggest motivation is always ATINY but this became a new kind of motivation for me, a new inspiration.

This young man was handwashing his car since there was no line here. He does it all the time. The cars we see are for the automatic car wash. Anyways he already paid once and got water in the bucket so he could hand wash, after he did that he was preparing to put more money in so he could rinse. An employee comes up and takes the money out of his hand and pushes him and tells him to leave. Claiming Hess making others wait yet we see nobody there waiting. Would you have left too? The cops came and heard him out but since the employee wanted him to never come back, he was asked to respect that. I used to do this all the time especially when traveling. Sometimes I like doing it in the winter because of all the salt and such, I don’t want it damaging my paint. One time I decided to do this at about 2 in the morning on the way to the gym. Obviously there was nobody there and there is usually an officer parked in the parking lot because there used to be reports of people parking back there in the dark sleeping and doing other stuff. I was in the middle of my hand wash when a homeless man literally climbed from behind the dumpster nearby and asked why I was being noisy. I told him I was only washing my car and I was allowed to as it was a 24 hr spot and h paid after all. He started being unreasonable and I flagged the officer behind me, it took him about 30 seconds to notice and he pulled up and I explained what was going on. He said he figured that’s what I was doing since he often saw me doing it before. He did tell the homeless man to leave, and he did without incident. I was able to finish rinsing and drying my car and I left. I don’t live in a bad area, so I don’t feel unsafe doing this, have you ever had an issue washing the car at night? Night time is so much better, quieter and less busy.

Quentin Taratino said Lawrence Fishburne’s performance in King of New York was so incredible he thought - “he could be the greatest actor of his generation”. He explains: "As great as Christopher Walken is in this movie. To me, it's Larry Fishburne's movie - it was the rock that becomes a diamond aspect of the movie. It's why I could defend this movie against all comers, because to me, Fish's performance in this movie was comparable to a young Brando. It was the most exciting performance by an actor of his generation that I'd seen in a movie of that time. And I thought, well, that's it. There is a new Marlon Brando, and his name is Larry Fishburne - it was amazing, it was mesmerizing… He is the first hip hop gangster in movie history. That character had never been done before this. He invented that character. And he invented it as something to do. It wasn't in the original script. He came up with that himself… The three big Fishburne moments to me, is his opening sequence with…Tito. That's it, with Tito - black glove dude. And his reunion with Frank. And then it's the chicken scene (see below). Those are his three big arias. Not only that though - expressions that I would later hear for the rest of the decade, I actually heard for the first time in that scene. I'd never heard the expression; “I'll slap the black off you” before. That was the first time I heard it when Fish says it to Snipes. I've since heard it many times… And that was actually the first time I ever heard, “fuck you very much”. And I would proceed to hear that for the rest of the 90s. But those were the first times I'd ever heard those expressions… As terrific as he has been in other things - the level of excitement that I had over him when this movie was over, I have never had that excitement again. I thought, with this, he could be the greatest actor of his generation. That was an actual, real fucking thing. He could be the greatest actor of his generation after seeing this." Quentin Tarantino recounts a dinner with Robert De Niro during the making of Jackie Brown, where he asked him whether he understood when he landed the role of Vito in The Godfather Part II, that it would change his life. De Niro’s answer revealed a great deal about his mindset at the time. “I was working with Robert De Niro on Jackie brown, and we went out to dinner once. - When he got Vito in the Godfather Part II, that was going to be a big thing for him. He won the Oscar for it - it set him up to be a movie star. So I asked him - and I've asked this to quite a few actors when it comes to when they got the role that would end up changing their career - did he realize that the moment when he got the role, that it would have this sort of effect? And he goes oh, “I tried not to let it do that. I tried not to think about that” I go, "really? and why did you try not to think about that?" “Well because I’ve seen it happen and then go the other way” And then he used an example. “There was this guy, he was a young actor, and he was part of our crowd in New York. He'd been doing okay, but we were all in the same boat. Then all of a sudden he got a lead role. He's one of the two leads in a brand new movie by a director who had just done a smash hit.” And he's talking about Larry Pierce (the director) and uh... Goodbye Columbus. ”And he started dining out on it. And all of a sudden I go to the places that we used to go to, and now he's there and everyone's kind of revolving around him. He's kind of holding court. He's not doing anything bad; he's just arisen in the way that none of us have - and we're all treating him different. Then the movie comes out; nobody likes it - The movie comes out, and it goes away, and he's exactly in the same place he was. And I just wanted to make sure that that would never happen to me because I watched it happen to him.” Quote from Video Archives Podcast, sourced from James Whale Bake Sale YouTube channel. It has always been one of my dreams to share with my favorite person in the world how I became his fan, and how I’m still here after 12 years. When I asked him if I could tell the story of how I became his fan 12 years ago, he said “Yes!” and the way he looked curious and eager to listen just made my heart so full. I told Kyungsoo that it all began when I came across a video of him way back in 2013 singing “Catching Feelings” by Justin Bieber. When I mentioned it, he gave me this sweet look of agreement and softly muttered “Ahhh~”, almost like he remembered that moment too.. From the very first time I watched it, I couldn’t help but be curious about him… I told him that he sounded so good and I really liked his voice (honestly, I find him cute too hehe) it was what drew me in and made me become a fan. I told myself that if I was ever given the chance, I’d love to hear him sing that song again, since we haven’t heard him sing it since 2013. I even tried requesting it with the sticky notes, handwritten banners during the Bloom FanCon and tweeted about it too way back, almost like I was manifesting it. So when I won this fansign, I promised myself I had to ask this time. So I asked if he could sing it for me. For a few seconds, he just stared at me blankly, and then he looked up as if he was trying to recall the song. Knowing that he might not remember the lyrics 😅, I told him that I have the lyrics with me and showed it in the screen. He looked at it, and then he started singing. In that moment, my heart completely sank… I was into the moment and I just couldn’t believe it was really happening right in front of me. This might sound like just a simple story, but to me, it was such a precious moment. Something I’ll always hold close to my heart. Meeting someone at such a young age and growing up with them throughout your youth... and who would’ve thought they’d end up having such a beautiful, positive impact on my life? I’m literally tearing up while typing this ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ. I was a little hesitant to share this at first, but it was such a beautiful moment. And honestly, you all have to hear how amazing he sounded, because he was just so, so good. 도경수씨 너무너무너무 감사합니다~ 🙇‍♀️❤️ first video credit to DOH HEART please do not re-upload

Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I was like, “you good?” He said, “you good?” I said, “Yeah…” Some of that was in the script, but he flipped it the way he did it. "Putting cases on all you." He kind of added some things in there. And then he just went into a whole other zone with the whole King Kong thing- with Pelican Bay - Denzel started that. That was Denzel. That was him, man. He just kind of lit up, and I think I forgot to yell cut. I was just watching it, because everybody started walking away, and I'm just watching him, and then he lights a cigarette - and he's talking - and I'm just watching him. I think at some point he probably looked at me like, you going to cut? And I'm like, “oh yeah, yeah, cut.” He was still in it. That's the thing with Denzel. He was so Alonso…I'm just watching him for a while because I didn't know what else he was going to do. It was just so magical. And then I think he looked up at me and I was like, “Okay, cut, cut.”
