When savings are pooled into pension funds the collective strength is huge. That money should help rebalance the country & benefit ordinary people. Pension funds could pay for more council houses and cheaper renewable energy, which would benefit us all.

NO MORE FUNDS FOR ILLEGALS—At today’s Lake County Commission meeting I moved to add language to all county grant agreements requiring that any organization seeking grants must comply with federal immigration law. The motion passed 5-0. Now, any organization receiving funds/grants from Lake County MUST ensure that those funds are provided only to American citizens in accordance with 8 U.S.C. § 1621. American dollars should benefit American citizens.

While the provincial executive and municipalities should be commended for growing public infrastructure in this province, challenges remain. Communities are bearing the brunt of instability at local government level. Municipalities have repeatedly been placed under administration, the Ditsobotla Local Municipality being the most recent of these. The national executive, working with the provincial government, is determined to arrest the current situation and turn the municipality around so that it once again delivers consistent services and enjoys the respect of communities.
