Ok, fair. Now explain to me why the same kids can be dragged into functioning religions before they even know how to wipe their own ass? You think TikTok is dangerous, but five-year-olds memorizing verses about eternal damnation and invisible sky judges isn’t? If you’re really against indoctrination, then be against all of it. Not just the digital kind. Because nothing rewires a child’s brain like a holy book being forced down their throat before they even understand what death is. You want to protect kids? Start by banning all religious indoctrination under 18. Teach them mythology, teach them history, let them explore different belief systems like art and literature, but keep them the fuck away from functioning religions until they’re old enough to choose. This is a darkened counsel. If you follow this counsel you will eventually end up in eternal damnation. Earlier this week these kinds of counsel has been rampant on the TL. Let me tell you two things: 1. If someone is giving you this kind of counsel, he’s grooming you to accommodate the unfruitful works of darkness. 2. The Bible is clear on how to handle the works of darkness. Your pastor has a human side but to be human does not necessarily mean to be unrighteous. To be imperfect does not necessitate evil. I was once telling someone to be careful of a certain preacher that what they’re seeing isn’t what really is. Their response to me was “everyone has a human side”. While this is self evident, it doesn’t imply that your human side must include wickedness and evil and everyone must be forced to accommodate it. God who made us human does not tolerate sin in us, and he knows us more than we know ourselves.

This is a fascinating video. An Egyptian traveler visits Japan and praises the remarkably ethical nature of its society, while also admitting to a kind of cognitive dissonance at seeing people behave this way despite not being theists, and therefore not acting out of fear of divine judgment or eternal damnation. He ultimately asks whether it is “we” who are the hypocrites, publicly performing ethical behavior out of fear, while failing to fully internalize it in private life. It reminded me of the remarks of another Egyptian traveler, the great Muslim scholar and reformer Muhammad Abduh, some 150 years earlier. After returning from a brief stay in France, Abduh is often reported to have said: “I went to the West and saw Islam, but no Muslims; I returned to the East and saw Muslims, but not Islam.” Abduh would go on to become one of the leading figures of the late 19th-century Nahda and a champion of social and religious reform in the final decades of the Ottoman Empire. Admittedly, it is a bit disheartening to see a fellow Egyptian of Abduh’s expressing a similar kind of cognitive dissonance today. It is, in a sense, a reminder of the limited enduring impact that reformist thinkers like Abduh had in pulling much of the Arab-Muslim world, bar a few notable exceptions, out of its civilizational malaise. (Unfortunately, it was, instead, the intellectual currents that cast Western modernity as an enemy, from Sayyid Qutb’s Muslim Brotherhood to Salafism, that ultimately won, eclipsing Abduh’s reformist vision.)

He took our place, shed His blood for us, died, rose from the grave, and is coming back for His Church! 🔥We were all sinners, facing death, staring down an eternity in the pits of hell. But then, right at this very moment when our names are called to die, He steps into our lives, into the very depths of our despair, and takes our place. He dies instead of us, offering us a lifeline to eternal salvation. He sacrificed His life to save us, and now we stare at eternity in heaven with Him. ⚠️ We need to know and fully understand what He went through—otherwise, we will never grasp the depth, height, and length of His love for us! This is the work of His love, He went to the cross to pay for our sins to grant us eternal life. 🩸 The night before He was crucified, He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. His sweat fell to the ground like drops of blood, a manifestation of His intense anguish. As God, Jesus was fully aware of everything that was going to happen to Him 🩸 He experienced the pain of knowing that one of His very own disciples was going to betray Him. 🩸 He knew that many who had once called Him "The Messiah" would now be screaming for His crucifixion. 🩸 He knew that He would be beaten nearly to the point of death before they pounded the crown of thorns into His head. 🩸 He knew the prophetic words of Isaiah spoken 700 years ago, that He would be beaten so severely that He would be "disfigured beyond human likeness." 👉🏼These things contributed to His great anguish and sorrow, causing Him to sweat drops of blood. However, there was more... 🩸 He knew that He was going to be crucified. The crucifixion was considered the most painful and torturous method of execution ever devised. In fact, the pain was so unbearable that a word was created to describe it - "excruciating" - which literally means "from the cross". 🩸As our sinless Savior bore the weight of the world's sins on His shoulders and was being crucified, His Father must have looked away, for His "eyes are too pure to look on evil." This caused Jesus to cry out, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" The pain of being abandoned by His Father far surpassed the intense physical pain the Lord endured on our behalf. ︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵‿ 🔊 The cross was meant for us! The pain was meant for us to bear, the blood was meant for us to shed, and the sin was meant for us to die for! He sacrificed His life to save us, and now we stare at eternity in heaven with Him. ⚠️ We need to know and fully understand what He went through—otherwise, we will never grasp the depth, height, and length of His love for us! This is the work of His love, He went to the cross to pay for our sins to grant us eternal life. 🩸 The night before He was crucified, He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. His sweat fell to the ground like drops of blood, a manifestation of His intense anguish. As God, Jesus was fully aware of everything that was going to happen to Him 🩸 He experienced the pain of knowing that one of His very own disciples was going to betray Him. 🩸 He knew that many who had once called Him "The Messiah" would now be screaming for His crucifixion. 🩸 He knew that He would be beaten nearly to the point of death before they pounded the crown of thorns into His head. 🩸 He knew the prophetic words of Isaiah spoken 700 years ago, that He would be beaten so severely that He would be "disfigured beyond human likeness." 👉🏼These things contributed to His great anguish and sorrow, causing Him to sweat drops of blood. However, there was more... 🩸 He knew that He was going to be crucified. The crucifixion was considered the most painful and torturous method of execution ever devised. In fact, the pain was so unbearable that a word was created to describe it - "excruciating" - which literally means "from the cross". 🩸As our sinless Savior bore the weight of the world's sins on His shoulders and was being crucified, His Father must have looked away, for His "eyes are too pure to look on evil." This caused Jesus to cry out, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" The pain of being abandoned by His Father far surpassed the intense physical pain the Lord endured on our behalf. ︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵‿ 🔊 The cross was meant for us! The pain was meant for us to bear, the blood was meant for us to shed, and the sin was meant for us to die for! BUT Jesus endured it all to rescue us, to save us, to redeem us so that one day we could also be glorified with the Father and have eternal life. He did it out of LOVE, for YOU and me! 📖 "So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "IT IS FINISHED! "And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit." John 19:30 🔊NOW, when God looks at the cross He sees YOU, And when He looks at YOU— He sees Christ!💪🏼 🔊He was buried and resurrected on the third day, according to the Scriptures —and He is coming back for His Church to save us from the 7-year tribulation, which will be the most horrific time the world will ever see! 🔊It's time to come to Jesus and receive His unconditional love! The moment you believe in Him and that He died for your sins - you're saved, justified, sealed until the day of redemption, and rapture ready! The Holy Spirit will come to live inside of you - He will help you, guide you, change you, and be with you FOREVER! COME TO JESUS, ACCEPT HIS LOVE, AND BE SAVED FROM WHAT? ETERNAL DAMNATION IN HELL!
