Even a 0.0001% Reduction in Representation is Not Acceptable to Us! - BRS Working President KTR The bill introduced in Parliament is fundamentally flawed. While the Prime Minister and Union Ministers speak of a 50% increase in seats across assemblies and Parliament, the bill itself makes no such provision. For years, including during 2022 and 2023 when we were in government, we have raised concerns about linking seat allocation to population. BRS will join other parties, work together, and oppose this move tooth and nail. We strongly urge the Government of India to remember that this is a highly sensitive issue.

So we don’t trust them Rewarding states that dragged the country behind is not the way forward. As we approach 2047, if India wants to become a superpower, developed states must be encouraged - not punished.

There was no need for this Bill to be linked with the delimitation exercise. Knowing fully well that if 2011's census or latest census becomes the basis for delimitation, southern India will lose out heavily. Modi Govt introduced this Bill, which they knew very well, will not be able to get the 2/3rd majority that is required for a Constitutional amendment. Therefore, we as BRS, certainly express our deep concern and deep protest with respect to stifling the voice of southern India in the Parliament. We request and demand the Union Govt to fulfill the promise given to the women of this country because the Bill was already passed in 2023 with respect to women's reservation. If you have to do it, you can do with the 543 at present. All that we would like to tell you is make sure that the 24% seats that the south of India today has in the Parliament is kept intact. If that is not kept intact, this will lead to severe protest and resentment from the people of south India who have contributed to this nation in a big way..."

NEXT IS TELANGANA!!! On the day BJP won the West Bengal elections, many X handles kept posting this statement - “Next Is Telangana”. Making their intentions very clear. Just 48 hours later, BJP unleashed hooliganism in Telangana. Reacting to comments made by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay, BRS MLA Padi Kaushik challenged Bandi Sanjay for a drug test. In fact, it was Bandi Sanjay who first challenged BRS working president KTR to undergo a drug test. But Padi Kaushik’s statements enraged BJP hooligans who vandalised BRS leaders’ offices and homes. BRS working president KTR has already sent legal notices to Bandi Sanjay and other leaders who have been spreading baseless comments on him. He openly challenged for a drug test many times. Both BJP & Congress leaders should stop this whole “drug” charges without an iota of evidence. You guys are firstly, normalising drugs and secondly making it seem like Telangana is drowning in drugs. Also - if we take their word as the ultimate truth…CM Revanth Reddy is also the home minister & Bandi Sanjay is the MoS for Home.
