even eye test should’ve told you this is a guy who should get drafted John Konchar’s cutting, rebounding - being a horse on the glass as a 6’5 wing, good vertical athlete , connectivity and defense are things that are giving him a career in the league stats backed...

Gave a ranked UCLA team 25 points 😭😭 Demon man off topic but teams like the lakers (!), Mavs, Celtics, Orlando, Houston, even GSW could all use him just bc the grizzlies are just loaded with wing and guard depth. But either way #SpreadsheetFC

All true. Does any team in the league regret not taking Konchar though? Has it cost them a chance at a title or a dynasty? The top of the draft is about finding stars who are going to be worth a max rookie extension. Value is tied more to impact than efficiency.

(this isn’t a dunk or negative thing against you) but konchar isn’t even the best example. It was more so against aura scouting (cam reddish , Romeo Langford ie who he was better than). So no, albiet he would help some teams as a glue guy. Max Strus also 19’ class would moreso be a yes tbh. And that’s the thing, you don’t just be finding stars at like pick 6 usually value per pick just shoots down tremendously. And that’s the big problem. We see majorly flawed players go super high and then they don’t become legitimate pieces/valuable pieces until midway on their rookie extension. And that’s because they go to shitty situations get forced to bank on being a star knowing damn well that shit won’t happen, so once they get traded to a legit organization they actually become valuable role players or pieces bc they can actually buy into said role. Andrew Wiggins and Aaron Gordon are notable examples that come to mind. But yea the Konchar thing was really a troll yet still true. I literally could’ve used Strus - way better example to make a less troll point. Or hell even Caruso for the class of 16
