#WATCH | On L&T Chairman SN Subrahmanyan advocates a 90-hour work week, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra says, "I have a huge respect for Narayan Murthy and others. So let me not get this wrong. But I have to say something. I think this debate is in the wrong direction because this debate is about the quantity of work. My point is we have to focus on the quality of work, not on the quantity of work. So it's not about 40 hours, or 70 hours or 90 hours. What output are you doing even if it's 10 hours? You can change the world in 10 hours... I have always believed that you have to have leaders and people in your company who make wise decisions and wise choices. So the question is, which kind of mindmakes the right choices and right decisions? And I think a mind that is exposed to holistic thinking, thinking that is open to inputs from around the world, that's when you'll make a good decision. If you don't spend time at home, if you're not spending time with friends, not reading, and don't have time to reflect, how will you bring the right inputs into making a decision?... I don't want it to be about quantity. Ask me what's the quality of my work. Don't ask me how many hours I work...."

Apparently the county where this dude has been drawing his SNAP benefits for years has deemed him “Able-bodied“ and has placed upon him a 20 hour work requirement to continue receiving benefits. He then goes into a profanity laced tirade ⚠️ Exclaiming “the taxpayers work for me” “ I don’t work for nobody, I am a BOSS”😂 This is a Living breathing entitlement specimen😡

John Carmack on the importance hard work: “For decades, I worked 60 hours a week” “I was never one of the programmers who would do all-nighters or work for 20 hours straight,” programming legend John Carmack begins when asked about his work routine. “My brain generally starts turning to mush after 12 hours or so. But hard work is really important, and for decades I would work 60 hours a week. I would work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week.” He continues: “I had a little thing in the back of my head where I was almost jealous of some of the programmers who would do these marathon sessions. Like Dave Taylor, one of the guys we had at id Software, would be one of those people who would fall asleep under his desk sometimes and all the classic hacker tropes about these things. Part of me was always a little bothered that wasn’t me. I wouldn’t program 20 hours straight because I’m falling apart and not being very effective after 12 hours . . . There are people who can work on 4 hours of sleep and continue to do good work, but there’s a lot of people who just fall apart. I always try to get 8 hours of sleep . . . you can work 100 hours a week and still get 8 hours of sleep if you prioritize things correctly. Michael Jordan practices more than anyone else. But when you apply it to the work environment, all of a sudden it’s heretical and you don’t believe in work-life balance.” Bill believes that if you want to do truly great work, you have to be just as dedicated as a great athlete. “If you want to be at the top of your game, you have to decide whether you want to make that tradeoff or not. You don’t have to. There are plenty of jobs on this planet where you can work 9-to-5. And you may care way more about your family life or personal life, and that’s fine too.
