Most “beautiful hotel” lists start to feel the same after a while. Same infinity pools and beach villas. The same famous names you’ve already seen a hundred times. But the hotels I remember are usually different. They’re the ones with a story behind them. A castle in Ireland where the rain and old stone feel like part of the stay. A desert resort in the Empty Quarter that looks like it rose out of the sand. A palace in Udaipur where you arrive by boat across the lake. A former military fortress in Mallorca turned into one of the most quietly beautiful hotels in the Mediterranean. And then there’s Giraffe Manor in Nairobi. It sounds made up until you see it. An old ivy-covered manor from the 1930s, set in green gardens, where giraffes wander up to the windows during breakfast. That could easily feel like a gimmick, but it doesn’t. Part of what makes it special is that the property is tied to conservation work for endangered Rothschild giraffes. So the magic of the place has some purpose behind it. That’s the kind of hotel I highlight in this series. Not just places with nice rooms. Places with a setting. Places with history. A young boy was caught on camera taking off running up the street and the person filming had no idea whether to call for help or what to do - they noted he may be autistic which adds a completely different layer to this situation. Whether that is the case or not a child running alone in the street is dangerous regardless of the reason and the priority is always getting that child safe first. If you ever see a child running alone and in potential danger do not hesitate - call 911 immediately and stay with the child until help arrives. How would you have handled this? You may be the only person standing between that kid and a serious accident.

Couples in this video are seen anointing and praying over their hotel room before they unpack. How many of you actually do this, or do you just walk into the room and settle in immediately? Personally, I think this is very important. Hotel rooms are places where many different people pass through, and you never really know what happened there before you arrived. Because of that, it is wise to dedicate the space to God in prayer. Ask for His presence, protection, and peace in that room before you rest there. It brings comfort, peace of mind, and a sense of spiritual covering as you stay there.
