Ever used a request stop? At these lightly-used stations, passengers on the platform have to flag down the train so that it stops. On the Far North Line between Inverness, Wick and Thurso, we now have request to stop buttons which passengers need to press.

Yep! The opposite end of the country from you, but when I realised that I was going to pass Lympstone Commando on the way to Exmouth I couldn't resist a little break of journey! The stop before it is only a mile away and also a request stop, so I got two in a day and a nice walk.

A maniac wielding two knives got on my train today and because Jacinta Allan moved PSO’s off train stations I ands another brave man had to put ourselves between him and the women and children on the next carriage. Then, despite being stopped at a station that USED to have PSO’s on it, we had to wait 20 minutes for cops to turn up while we hoped that he wouldn’t start stabbing.

Delhi stations receive large number of passengers on Diwali and Chhath. We have made extensive arrangements for their comfort. Visited Anand Vihar station to see the arrangements. Passengers are moving in an organised way. Holding area, large number of ticket counters have made their travel easier. We have made similar facilities at other stations of Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Bengaluru, Secunderabad etc., areas which receive large number of passengers.

This woman shows us what it’s like to be on a flight with a baby that won’t stop crying. The glares she gets from the other passengers and the comments she can barely hear but still hurt nonetheless. So many times we see videos of crying baits from the passengers points of view but rarely do we see it from the point of view of the parent. Have you ever flown with a crying child, what would you do if you couldn’t calm the child down?
