I built this tool that races chains against one another from your browser, demonstrating the experience you as a user would have with chains. People liked it, so I vibed out with claude to clean it up. The first to execute 10 sequential transfers wins. The clip is from Australia. See disclosures in the app.

It's open source so if you wanna add a chain or contribute, PRs are welcomed

Hi! The public RPC endpoint for Monad Testnet doesn't have load balancers close to Australia atm. Thank you for pointing that out, we'll look into that. When we run this from the US, Monad Testnet is seeing submit-to-receipt times of 1s which is expected and awesome for a distributed L1 with full finality. Lastly, Mert has already written a much more thoughtful response but you're comparing apples to oranges in comparing L1s and L2s

Hiya, that’s consistent with what I’ve witnessed in testing 🫡

OK what gimmick did y’all and go do this time…. What idiotic conditions did you code up for when the horse moves forward on each chain? What this completely glosses over is the verifiably of these moves. On L1s by the time the horse moves every one in the world has the data and can raise a challenge. If you want to setup some optimistic conditions to move on you can, check Monads docs, but the default for an L1 is full security. On all the L2s you can’t challenge the move. You’re writing it to a database with no ability for someone to check its validity and making intentionally misleading comparisons to confuse the public. For an ecosystem that pioneered decentralization and its merits is shameful to see you guys now actively diminishing its value with these tactics. If you don’t care about the verifiability of the move, sure use these tactics to cut corners and look fast, but when you turn around an the industry no longer cares about decentralization and its values—you will only have yourself to blame.

10x sequential native transfers, measuring only the transaction time, the gas and nonce is pre-fetched and the transactions are pre-signed. I'm lost though, do you dislike the app or you hate L2s? maybe test only the L1s yourself?
