In the year 2000, you had to pay $0.10 for EACH text message you sent. Today, with the development of smartphones and messaging apps, many people are able to send UNLIMITED text messages for FREE using internet-based messaging platforms.

This is a good thing. This is also the continuation of a trend seen throughout the history of human civilization.

As time goes on, access to technology and production of technology gets easier and cheaper, which allows more people to use and benefit from technology, which enables more brain power to innovate and further advance technology. All of this increases the prosperity of humanity.

This continuous movement towards better technologies, while becoming more affordable, is what is called “deflationary.” This is the natural order of humanity and technological advancement, and it is (obviously) beneficial.

Deflation = more, for less. (Think, you are now able to send more text messages for less money than you did in the year 2000).

Except, there is one HUGE problem. We have a money system today that DEMANDS *inflation*. This means you get less, for more.

Look at deflation vs inflation this way. The price for a loaf of bread costs $1. Assuming a 10% inflation rate, the price of bread next year costs $1.10. Assuming a 10% deflation rate, the price of bread next year costs $0.90.

Under inflation, $1.05 would actually buy you a LESSER amount of bread than $1 bought you last year. Under deflation, $0.95 would actually buy you MORE bread than $1 bought you last year. Which system would you rather live in?

We live in a world today where inflation is seen as a good thing, and deflation made to be the devil. How can this be?

The answer is, inflation is required, BY DESIGN, under the current monetary system. The current monetary system is what is called a debt-based system.

95-99% of newly created money enters circulation via debt issued by banks. Governments finance their exorbitant spending with the issuance of debt, and then issue more debt when the old debt comes due. A literal Ponzi scheme.

It is important to understand that inflation is REQUIRED in this system. If the government did not create new money (debt), they would not be able to pay their debts to the buyers of the debt, which means the U.S. would default on its debt, and the whole system would collapse.

This money system and Ponzi scheme is only able to be sustained because the government, hand-in-hand with the central bank, has a money printer. They can create money out of thin air whenever they want, to pay for whatever they want.

This is why deflation is made to be the devil. Deflation does not work in a debt-based, inflationary system because deflation would mean the debt that the government owned would become more valuable over time and costlier to pay off. Inflation makes it easier to pay off.

The entire inflationary system would unwind if the natural order of humanity and technological advancement, deflation, were unleashed. Thus, deflation is a big NO NO. At least, for them.

You have every reason to desire a truly deflationary system. Life would get *more* affordable over time, not less. You wouldn't have to work more over time just to make ends meet, you could work less. So, what's the solution? How do YOU get there?

You adopt a deflationary system that the government cannot control. This is Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is deflationary because while everything else in the world goes up in supply, Bitcoin's supply remains verifiably finite at 21 million bitcoins, as it is DESIGNED to be finite.

This results in Bitcoin being worth more in terms of everything else (the same amount of BTC buys you more as time goes on, aka... BTC goes up) While everything else is worth less in terms of BTC (the same amount of xyz good earns you less BTC as time goes on) Here is proof:

Really, what's happening is Bitcoin is accurately pricing in the deflationary order of technology for the first time in human history. Everything trends toward zero over time, naturally, as technology advances, we now have the monetary denominator to properly reflect that.

And you are the beneficiary. Opt-out of inflation, choose Bitcoin. Study Bitcoin. And... Cheers to Satoshi Nakamoto.
