I want to express gratitude to our air defense warriors—every individual in the various types and branches of our forces who protect our skies. Every night and every day, they intercept Russian Shahed drones and missiles. This morning, they successfully shot down a Russian ballistic missile. Every success like this saves lives. Ukraine is deeply grateful to all our partners who provide interceptor missiles and air defense systems. We are currently working to secure additional supplies—missiles, defense systems, and everything necessary to strengthen our mobile fire groups. Our strategic goal is to reach a practical level of cooperation with our partners that allows us to produce the air defense systems and interceptor missiles we need here in Ukraine. I am grateful to everyone who helps us.

I am grateful to our warriors for downing three Russian “Su” aircraft over our Kherson region today in Ukraine's south. This is the result of our Air Forces, specifically the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Brigade of Odesa. Thank you, warriors! Every Russian pilot must know that every Russian murderer will get our response, and none of them will escape justice.

I am proud of those who are currently serving in the trenches and combat posts, those who are training our warriors, and those who are producing arms, ammunition, and equipment for Ukraine. I am proud of those educating our minors, treating people and rescuing them after strikes, providing normal life to our cities, and giving us power. I am proud of everyone who gives us confidence—our parents and our children; those who love us; those who pray for us and our victory; and those helping us from every corner of the world. But the evil state has no missiles that are more powerful than our will to save lives, support each other and win. I thank everyone who defends our cities, our people, our sky! I am grateful to the port workers who do their best to preserve our infrastructure! To the builders and repair teams who help people restore normal living conditions! It’s been nearly six months of active operations in the Kursk region to defend Ukrainian territory. We are maintaining a buffer zone on the Russian territory to protect our cities of Sumy and Kharkiv from Russian offensives. I am grateful to all our warriors who defend Ukraine’s positions and destroy the occupiers. I also want to thank all Ukrainian developers and manufacturers of long-range drones and missiles. Everyone can see their effectiveness—how our weapons are bringing the war back to Russia and reducing its capacity for waging war. Unrest in Russia, reduced Russian capacity to sell and refine oil, and lower global oil prices—this is what is needed for peace.

As a result of these days and this week, we have strengthened our positions in the Kharkiv region. I thank the warriors of the 57th Motorized and the 82nd Air Assault Brigades. Our forces are also effectively destroying the occupiers in the Donetsk direction, particularly near Chasiv Yar and other locations. In fact, the occupiers fail to achieve their goal of stretching our forces thin and weakening Ukraine across a wide front from the Kharkiv to the Donetsk regions. I am grateful to every soldier, sergeant, and officer who complete combat missions and hold positions with sufficient bravery and resilience. These days, my special thanks go to the 41st Mechanized Brigade, DIU’s special forces units "Kraken" and "Artan,” as well as the National Guard units. I thank our warriors in particular for Chasiv Yar operations, as well as destroying Russian equipment and repelling Russian assaults. I would also like to specifically thank the 225th Assault Battalion. Well done, warriors!

Russian murderers and torture chambers are unable to march further into Europe because they are being held back by Ukrainians holding arms under the blue and yellow flag. There used to be many white walls of houses and churches in Ukraine, but they have now been burned and damaged by Russian shells. This speaks volumes about who needs to stop for the war to end. Everyone who defends life and people is carrying out the most honourable mission possible in the face of such an inhumane invasion. And we must fully protect life in our home. I am grateful to everyone who supports our defense and defenders. When Russian evil launched this war on February 24th, 2022, all Ukrainians rose up to defend their country. Christians, Muslims, Jews — everyone. And I am grateful to each chaplain who is with the army, in our defense forces, on the frontlines, protecting life and humanity. Those who support others through prayer, conversation, and actions. This is what the Church is: one with the people. Not two and a half thousand kilometers away—somewhere, looking for a virtual meditation between those who want to live and those who want to destroy you. I am grateful to everyone in and with Ukraine who is making every effort to protect life. I thank everyone who helps, who is truly close in deeds and prayers.
