This is the reality of our country. We preach family values and go on to call our daughters bhosdiwali and madarchod. Notice how she doesn’t even flinch when she hears those words. She hears them everyday. That’s why. It doesn’t matter if she knows or doesn’t know the meaning. The point is she is already numb to hearing them. It is already normalized for her to be called these words. All the people who said I was wrong for saying that little girls are called randi by their parents were simply privileged and tone deaf for blaming me. This is the reality of our country. The more we ignore it, the more it continues. If you want it to stop, TALK about it. I put multiple screenshots of girls being called randi in my video. But people just dismissed me and made me the villain. Stop being in denial. If you love India, you have to fix the problems that exist in it.

This woman was having a rough day and needed to indulge a little. So she reaches for her emergency chocolate syrup that she keeps in the car and gives it a shake to mix it up. It sprays all over her and her car. After the initial shock wears off she starts venting about everything that has gone wrong for her this year, she states now her clothes and her car is ruined and doesn’t know what to do about it. “What is it about not knowing the truth about your child’s struggle that scares you so much?” This was an intense question for the therapist to ask Kathy Hilton, but it felt necessary. Kathy has always seemed distant when it comes to the trauma her daughter Paris experienced. Kathy explains that she does not want to know the full truth because she lived it and went through it. She admits that sometimes fear can outweigh love. When Paris, Nicky, and her other children were away at school, Kathy says she would lie in bed and cry. Other times, she would lie there feeling nothing. Kathy also spoke about her own childhood during therapy. She admitted that she never fully processed her parents’ divorce and described her mother, known as “Big Kathy,” as very controlling. The therapist reframed this by suggesting that her mother controlled situations in order to keep everyone safe. That was the environment Kathy was raised in, and as the oldest child, she learned that it was her responsibility to do the same. But then the therapist made a point that really landed. Sometimes, without realizing it, we think we are protecting our children when in reality we become the source of their pain: “Kathy, sometimes we don't even know that we aren't protecting and we've actually become the hurt. We've actually inflicted more hurt trying to protect them." Kathy then shared that the therapist had watched Paris’ documentary about her boarding school trauma and other experiences but Kathy admitted she has never watched it, not even the trailer. She is afraid to see it and says she has always been someone who prefers to sweep things under the carpet. It was especially interesting when Kathy said that Paris is the complete opposite of her and is not afraid of anything. Liema’s diary session, she admitted she’s very nervous today. The nominees are strong, and with eviction nights, you truly never know what to expect. That uncertainty is sitting with her. But despite the nerves, she described this week as exciting. From the music to the acting, to sharing her grandmother and grandfather’s story on that stage it meant a lot to her. Hearing the housemates sing her grandfather’s song was a full-circle moment she won’t forget. Yes, there were disagreements here and there, but overall, it was a beautiful week. She even called last night’s party her best one yet. She also made it clear that the house deserved to win the wager. Everyone worked hard, and it showed. When she spoke about eviction, she was honest. Life is unpredictable. She knows that at any moment, everything can change and she might have to start over. But she also said she’s not ready to leave. That thing the mother puts on her head is the anointing oil, & the mother prayers on her head every morning before she goes to school. I heard of another story that happened in Nigeria. This boy collected a stick sweet from another of his friend in class who offered it to him.
