He's referred to as Ferris in the show a bit, but a summary: His parents locked him in a cage in their basement for the first 10 years of his life, and so he wants to do everything to disconnect himself from them, hence why he doesn't refer to himself by the name they gave him.

He's also good representation for femboys who want to change their name. I think referring to a person, even fictional, by their deadname is a slippery slope and so I try to correct people :3
