Nailed the Gen X/Boomer combo. Fly with my old man and we both grab aisle seats which is perfect, because I slam in earbuds and clock out. He, meanwhile, treats the flight like an open-mic. Every time some poor soul sits next to him I just think: congratulations, you’ve just inherited a 4-hour TED Talk you never asked for.

Boomer here who absolutely hates small talk. I am perfectly happy to sit in my set, both feet on the floor and maybe a good audio book.
