Negotiating with health plans to cover clinical AI is a type of pain I would not wish upon my worst enemies. This is not a serious way to get AI into American healthcare. Rather, government needs to lead the way and encourage and incentivize private plans to follow suit. If we can align payment models across government and private payers, we have the conditions necessary for resources to flow into clinical AI. I want the best people in the country working on fixing our healthcare system. OpenAI can pay them a lot of money to work at OAI instead. We won't get the investment and talent we need in healthcare if we do not make reimbursement - the rewards for innovation - very clear to the technology and VC community.

A lot of stuff went wrong because of that. So now we're pulling back and figuring out, okay, what from the old world still makes sense? We're figuring out what we should be doing and I definitely don't feel like, oh yeah, we're killing all our competitors, we're using AI so much better than everyone else. And by the way, none of our competitors are crushing us either. No one out there is using AI so well that we can't even compete. And we're in the coding agent space. All our competitors are super into AI. So you would think in our space there would be a huge gap, but there just isn't.”

The operating room fees alone were quoted at over $30,000. We performed her surgery today at Redbud, a CMS-certified facility with fellowship-trained surgeons and experienced nurses for a fraction of that cost. Same standard of excellence. We’re launching Mundi, the first open-source web GIS built for AI. After years of training geospatial AI models, we decided now is the moment to build the GIS software of the next decade. After the AI Vectorizer, Georeferencer, and Kue (our LLM agent inside QGIS), we realized that GIS is at an inflection point. But existing mapping software was neither powerful enough to allow for synchronous collaboration with AI agents, nor open source to allow the community to build on top of it. If we want to get the most out of LLMs, we need to create our own GIS that is purposefully designed for AI—Mundi. With Mundi, you collaborate with Kue, our AI GIS agent, to edit your map, rather than physically interacting with tools as you would in a legacy GIS.

We’re launching Mundi, the first open-source web GIS built for AI. After years of training geospatial AI models, we decided now is the moment to build the GIS software of the next decade. After the AI Vectorizer, Georeferencer, and Kue (our LLM agent inside QGIS), we realized that GIS is at an inflection point.
