What’s worse is when you’re so down that you don’t believe the compliments. You would almost prefer if they admitted the flaws you see in yourself. You’ve trade self analysis for self condemnation and you’re so used to it that it becomes your “defeult mode”

This is a battle, every man fights! I fought this for years until I settled on who I actually am in Christ. That actually gave me an identity and once I knew who I was, I didn’t actually worry about other people‘s opinions. Then there’s no reason to impress anybody.
