Every manufactured part needs a 2D drawing and mechanical engineers have to spend hours making them. REV1 does it in minutes. Congrats on the launch Alex Rivero & Louis!

That is kind of cool, but considering engineers are notorious for gd&t useless call outs, position tolerance hilarity, and all the other jokes that come with not working on the parts in physical space on real machines I am not optimistic This approach is backwards. Hopefully they work on it from the other side soon

@Alex_Rivero_S Creating 2D blueprints is easy -- determine TOLERANCES and geometric relationships is where the magic happens. This blueprint of a part for M1 Carbine originally designed in 1934 went through multiple iterations of improvements / changes. And still being used today too!

@Alex_Rivero_S A perfect example of automating the tedious "last mile" of engineering. The goal is to pay engineers to think, not to click buttons in a CAD program to satisfy a supplier's archaic requirements. This is a huge time sink.

@Alex_Rivero_S The more detail and pain you abstract away from a Mech E. The less likely you'll get good solutions. The pain is part of a process of developing efficient laziness. Get so good at it, you become invaluable to a design process at inception. Not everything should be automated.

@Alex_Rivero_S This looks super interesting. Is the 3D model shown a native CAD-linked twin, or geometry recreated inside the app by importing a file? I can imagine a lot of teams are hesitant to move source-of-truth outside their existing CAD/PLM stack.
