DMK is setting a very weak narrative on a non-issue instead of focusing on any of the real people issues. Vijay is clear on being just a Chief Minister inside the assembly and not the head of TVK. He is calm and composed all the times, does what needs to be done, respects opposition's view points and acts on it then and there. Since people are used to seeing politicians being dramatic all the time for the last 70 years, this looks indifferent. #TVK #Vijay #CMVijay #DMKfailsTN #ஒமுக #OMK

Kennedy: Here is a governor that has been fomenting this kind of radical dissent. He is the one that is saying take your phone out. That’s what got this guy killed—his phone. But it’s also the administration. There’s been a civil war between people like Tom Homan who want to keep immigration an 80-20 issue and take out the the most hardened criminals and then you have people like Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller who want to make this an 80-20 issue in that they want to deport 80% of the people who are in this country illegally. That’s a political win for people like Walz and Frey. You cannot have this on repeat. It is politically disastrous for the president and also not the kind of civil society we need to live in.

Both DMK and ADMK had made things so easy for Vijay that he keeps scoring with very basic executions day by day. What should have been a hygiene factor looks like an achievement because that is how bad both those parties were. The moment Vijay came to power, he included the parties that extended support for his government in the cabinet ministry. While this may sound so obvious, the fact that Congress, VCK etc were not given this opportunity for decades of being in alliance with both the parties has made Vijay look superior. Both the parties that spoke of social justice lost their faces there. Vijay came out and made a bold statement that no one should ask or give bribe in the Government sector and if anyone asks, people can outright reject stating Vijay's name. Plus he carried out some basic clean up operations in many departments to put an end to the commission practice. While this has not ended corruption totally and we do not know how successful this operation will be in 5 years time, he has the image of being the Champion of ant-corruption campaign in TN for the first time. No one stopped the other two parties from doing this. But they were so comfortable in running a corrupt system that benefits them and their ministers too. Today people are celebrating the live telecast of assembly sessions everyday. This is infact the electoral promise of both the parties in the past but they never executed. This is not even a technical challenge. All it takes is the intent to make the sessions transparent and Vijay simply had to do that. By doing this, it is not just the majority of DMK MLAs who are getting exposed, even a few TVK ministers' activities are being questioned. But Vijay is ok with that and he is bold enough to do this. For long, TN media have been in the payrolls of DMK and have been publishing news favouring DMK, irrespective of whether DMK was in power or not. As a lower riparian state, Tamilnadu has always been at the receiving end of all possible backstabbing and injustice, all thanks to the DMK-Congress partnership over so many decades when all possible frameworks were done and dusted. Every existing law, tribunal order etc does not favour TN's rightful claim at any point in time across all the water issues. With the Mekadatu dam issue, Karnataka Congress will keep saying it is within its rights to build the dam since there is no clear stand with the Cauvery Water Management Authority & the Supreme Court judgement on this. Tamilnadu Govt will keep opposing since it is a means to block the water resource. With whatever has been happening, it only seems that the dam will be built. The ridiculous solution offered by Chidambaram in this interview is that Congress should come to power at the centre to solve this issue. He also proudly agrees Congress will behave differently in each state.
