Sadie’s response to Boston University Boston University after being banned from competing in WOMEN’S track and field: “They are hearing I was assigned male at birth and that is enough for them to ban any athlete.” “If you don’t conform to what they think is a female athlete, they are not going to let you compete.” Young girls and women should not have to compete against biological boys and men in sports, it’s not complicated.

I'm so grateful I was able to compete as a gymnast as a young person way back when in the 1980s. I worked so hard, I overcame so much adversity, to become the 1986 National Champion. Every ounce of discipline and perseverance I have in me, I learned in sports. I never give up. Happy National Women and Girls in Sports Day.

If you are someone with a family and with kids and with a stable job, then that totally makes sense. What I don’t buy - and I always push back on - is this idea that starting a company as a recent college graduate or someone taking a break from college is some kind of crazy, incredible sacrifice…. I continue to share my progress in my recovery after this massive stroke and the coma and pneumonia that kept me in the hospital for over three months in the beginning of the year I hope that by sharing my experience strength and hope, I can help others who’ve been through something similar. That you are not alone!!! I admit it is an absolute miracle that I am here with you. So I am smiling and willing to do whatever it takes to improve my health. And As in every day I have to thank you for the prayers and support that helped carry me through and this far.
