Every time I think that this administration can’t get any more hostile to public lands, they outdo themselves. Now they want to shut down regional offices for the U.S. Forest Service and reorganize how we fight fires – just as we’re heading into fire season.

This guy just explained the difference between a liberal and a conservative better than anybody in Washington ever has. "White liberals, they try to fight for us. Meaning, they try to think that we're inferior and they think they're superior. They think we're brainless idiots. They think we're stupid. Like we don't know how to think for ourselves." And the second you step off their script? "Now they feel like they gotta fight for us even more to try to get us back on the Democratic plantation." Then he flips it. A conservative, "or a patriot, whatever you wanna call them," is "not gonna fight for us. But they will fight beside us." Why? "They see us as a neighbor. They see us as a human being. They see us as Americans." I've been saying it for years: be very careful with anyone who tells you they "fight for you." Most of the time they want your vote, your donation, and your obedience. The people worth trusting stand next to you and respect that you can think for yourself. Who's "fighting for you" right now who really just wants to own you?
